Hi from the other side of the world!!

Although I don't have a Corolla (yet) I am an enthusiast of the Toyota brand, and especially the Corolla model.

My name is Gabriel, I'm 37 yo, and I am form Buenos Aires city, Argentina.

The reason why I'm here is that a friend of mine (actually, my boss!) owns a Corolla E120, SE-G model featuring A/T, and his trouble is that some one year ago his car got flooded (as little as 15 centimeters in the inside)and since then, the ABS advisor in the dashboard remains "on".

Is there any kind of "autodiagnosis", "fault code asking" or so that can be done by the owner to get a clue about the reason of the trouble??

Thank you very much!!

Gabriel...

you can only read the code with an OBD scanner, best see if you can borrow one, other than that take it to a dealer.

Welcome!, guess what? Im from Argentina too.

My best suggestion for you is to go to a dealership to get is scanned. The problem is that our Mercosur cars are not OBDII fully compliant, so a simple OBDII reader won´t help.

Where do you leave? I can suggest you to go to Zento in Lanus or Cerrito Car in Retiro (my favorite) to get is scanned.

Cheers!
