Steering Wheel Shakes

Hey guys.. just wondering if yous have had this problem before,

when accelerating through first gear in my triton ute, when i hit 3-4k revs the whole front of the car will start to shake, then when i change to 3rd itll stop and then start again when the revs start to get higher. to me it doesnt seem like a wheel alignment or balancing problem as it occurs at low speeds. although i only noticed it when i scrubbed my wheel a couple of weeks ago, and the problem has gotten worse since. any suggestions?!!?
