  1. Well I've asked a few Toyota dealers and some said its because they include rotation of tires. Another said they include engile coolant replacement (which I've checked with Gosnells that they exclude this because it is not necessary since all Corolla comes with a long life coolant that can last up to 80000km). I'm not really a car person, this is getting a bit too complicated.... I've also got a quote from Lube Mobile..they charge about the same price as Toyota dealers so I won't bother with them.
  2. Hi all, My Corolla Conquest just hit 40000km and in need of a rather major service. I called Toyota in Gosnells and they quoted me $310.65, and I called City Toyota, quoted me $395. Very big difference here. I didn't bother to ask why since most probably I'll get a lame answer anyway. Anyone knows the reason for this big difference and if there's an even cheaper Toyota service centre in Perth? Thanks.
  3. Thanks guys, I'll keep those options in mind next time I go tyre shopping. Cheers!!!
  4. Yokohama tyres tends to have that "High Performance" ring to it, anything more mainstream perhaps? Our Corolla is more for my wife and I'm hoping to keep the tyre noise down so my daughter can sleep better while travelling :D
  5. After sticking with those stock tyres a couple of yrs its gets very annoying as the noise it makes on the freeway and I had to turn the radio up each time. Any recommendation on a good set of tires that is know to be quieter?
  6. You're right Buddha. Had a read of the Extended Warranty fineprints and it is transferable (only ONCE!) and it will cost me $50 to do it. I guess I'll go for it as it is good until 2008 or 100,000kms (currently only at 20,000kms).
  7. I don't have the details yet as I've yet to receive the car and the documentations. But will have a read through once I get it either today or tomorrow. Hell I don't even know which Toyota dealer it is. All I got is the seller's word for it that he has extended warranty. Just thought you guys might know about how these things usually works.
  8. Newbie question here. Is extended warranty the same as the standard 3 yr/100,000km warranty in terms of coverage? Is this extended warranty trasferable to new owner when the car is sold?
  9. Hello everyone B) , Just got a used Corolla Conquest today, its a Jan 03 auto, hatch model (clocked only 20,000kms) and paid $17k for it through private sale. What you guys reckon? Was it a good deal? This is my very first time driving a Toyota and I must say I'm impressed with the silky smooth engine for a 4 cyl car. I do have however some questions regarding the Conquest range of Corolla. 1) No allow wheels? 2) No auto-windows behind? 3) Any ABS? There is a passenger side air-bag so shall I assume safety pack was purchased for the car thus comes with ABS? Got a way to check if ABS is present? These are not very important to me but just some stuff I assumed would be standard with the Conquest but apparently it is not. Any Conquest owner here care to share? Thanks.
