Item is SOLD

Well my friend ended up taking it to the audio store for installation.
Took off the stock speaker and bracket. Then drilled 6.5inch MDF spacers into the door panel. That was all that was needed really. Although we should of told them to spray the MDF to prevent it absorbing water, but too lazy now to take it out. Friend just wants to enjoy the music now.

Well soon im going to try and install Boston S60 splits 6.inch for my friend's corolla sedan.
I took some pictures of the speaker bracket. From what ive read so far, the stock speaker will be destroyed since its glued on?
Also i just drill out the rivets right?
Although looking at the bracket, im not sure how the new speakers will fit on since it doesn't seem to have any space for me to drill to allow the screws to attach the speaker to the bracket.
Can anyone here give me tips or directions here on what to do.
Thanks

hey blue_rolla, come to www.supraforums.com.au
Come to the Sydney Supra cruises sometime!
I own a white 95 Toyota Supra myself, NA though. Depending what area you are in Sydney, we should go for a photoshoot sometime =]
You should just get a TRD wing for the car, it would look sweet!

Hey
I just bought a new 1994 supra but insuring it is preventing me from keeping it for longer. I live in Queensland and have just turned 17 and i was wondering how much anyone else around my age was paying for insurance and with what company
Cheers, John
Im assuming your driving a NA Supra? Very lucky in the first place to own one at such a young age! =]

Thats one nice ride man, Toyota Chaser, can't go wrong with that.
Nice powerful 1JZ-GTE VVTi single turbo, mmm response must be damn good!
-
no wonder that purple struture thing looked familiar, its at Highpoint shopping centre :)

Head over to http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/
thats where you will get good answers, but let me give you a briefing.
An NA supra is very decent, i just got one myself a month ago, you get decent power coming from the inline 6 engine. Although the TT is in a class of its own.
The SZ model is the non-turbo and the RZ is the Twin Turbo model.
Supras (Mark IV) began production in 1993. In 1996 they got a make over with black headlights, and greyish tailights. And some minor interior adjustments as well.
In 1997 they introduced VVTi to the 2JZs.
I just got a recently imported one for $18k driveaway. A clean white supra with stock bodykit.

Looks good man!
Who put in the projectors in for you?
Im planning to get the KIPOINT hid kit as well. Wasnt sure if i should get 7000k or 9000k.
Your lights arent purple at all right?
I want to have what i had before, 8000k colour. Nice white/blue.

yoo thanks for the quick reply dude~
i am looking for a silver one fully stock hehe or a white one targa top and i'll put some white volk racing wheels on them:D:D:D~~
hmm i have the money atm saved up but i need to find the right one... the prestigemotorsports guy has been sending me alotta supras for auction from japan...
alot of them have low kms.. but i guess u'll never know untill u check it...
if onlyy~~ if only~~
Importing will take a while dude, time consuming but then you can could save a few thousand.
What is your budget anyway? If you going to get a NA Supra, might as well buy local, because the most you would save if your just buying a TT that is.

Also for rkim2312, xGSiR and anyone else I know a nice aerotop for sale if interested :) Sorry for getting a bit off-topic!
I heard getting aerotop Supra are sorta risky since structure of the chassis would be weakened without the roof on so when taking corners in sprited driving, it causes more flex.
Although it would be cool for those summer nights.
My preference right now is a white Supra NA manual. One with side skirts and rear pods would be heaps good and with 18inch wheels.
-
I wonder how it feels to have the gear stick higher then usual? It means you cant rest your arms on the center armrest console eh.
-
Damn that looks real neat and tidy.
Although the pocket is sorta small, i would usually put my mobile and wallet in that area
-
I heard its a real bitch to import, the fact that you might have a chance you cant pass compliance and so your car would then have to be sent back to Japan or get destroyed.
Search and read around www.supraforums.com.au
Im starting to look at N/A Supras myself, cant seem to afford a new 05 Sportivo now, gonna take too long to get the $$$.
So looking to spend <$20,000 for a NA Supra.
Reading in the supraforums, people said they have been getting about 400+km out of a tank, depending highway city driving etc.
Some amazing figures TT owners get, like 500Km out of a tank even with some spirited driving or something, jeee neat inline 6 engine Toyota made.
Now i just have to convince my parents the Supra is a nice car and its practicle.

For anyone that wants to know.
My father who works for Toyota Australia has just taken delivery of his new Corolla Sportivo that has come out of the last batch of Corolla Sportivo's to land in the country. The total number that came into the country in this shipment was 300. This quantitiy will be distributed around the country with most going to Sydney & Melbourne. I would say that most of these are available as he as only recived his in last few weeks.
He has also told me that it is highly unlikey that we will get the compressor version in this Country as there were only 250 distrubuted worldwide & to his knowledge no more will be made.
Sweet last batch 300 new stock arriving, that should be another 2-3 months before its all gone giving me extra time to get a new one. But i hope it aint an excuse for the dealer not to let me bargain for $27k drive away!!
-
This doesnt look good, looks like ill have to buy a 2nd hand one down the track.
Im certainly going to miss out on buying a brand new one.
-
Most of the Sportivo owners use 98 Octane fuels for a lil more performance and fuel economy.
-
Damn there is alot of hot hatches coming here now, the Mazda 3 MPS sounds tempting.
-
Sounds like the Corolla Super Runx will have cost into the mid $40k. But sounds interesting indeed.
-
probably the t-sport compressor as the new sportivo
that will really **** some ppl off
unlikely it will happen tho :P
If it does come, i reckon it would retail for about $40k. In which i rather get a VW Golf GTi MKV.
-
Since the Corolla Sportivo ceased production back in October last year, how long do you guys think stock will last for until like april/may?
I just want a white one, im just waiting until my house renovation is finished, then my parents could they get me a Sportivo.
Should there be a good chance i could haggle cheaper since i think Toyota would want to clear the 2005 stock. Maybe like $26,000 drive away?
Unless there is a new 2006 Corolla Sportivo down the track i should be waiting for??
-
Yup looks better that way instead of the exhaust tips that points down.
Just sand it to make the semi circle look smoother!
-
Go to the HID forums and learn the art of Retro-fitting.
I was wondering if projector lights would look good on the Corollas.
On some cars they just look crap, but on others its mighty fine.
-
Cant wait to see a Sportivo here in AUS supercharged, unique as.
A Sportivo with decent suspension setup should work well with the supercharger. Though getting so much power at the front wheel, going to need wide tyres on 17s or 18s. So important to plant the power on the road instead of chirping like crazy.
Just like my friend's DC5R, has 140kw at the wheels, but has such a hard time planting the power on the road, chirping crazy and i know once it is able to put full power on the road, its a bloody bloody fast car.
