I am really sad to see what happened to your car Lee especially knowing how you looked after her. :(

Hey guys, I would like to buy those polyurethane engine mount inserts and was just wondering whether anyone would have one set they would like to sell.
I looked at the monkey wrench racing site and they are selling for $29 but delivery would cost $65-75 on top. If ever other ppl are interested may be we can combine a few orders. I checked for 5 sets the combined delivery is around $68-97.

Hey guys,
I was thinking about something earlier while looking for some DIY(not sure if it has already been said before or not). Anyways, my thoughts were in the workshop submissions where it involves a lot of the DIY, it would be good to have the title of the worthy and well written submissions/topics to start with the key word DIY or even "how to" just like how Rollarollin did.
Then, it would make searching of what you are after much easier.
An even better way would be to pin the good ones at the top or create a just one topic that references the good ones.

did it look like it was welded on from the exhaust tip? minute difference. on our stockish cars, most sound comes from the intake...

Hey Duy, I am so sorry to hear this man. On the other hand I am glad that you are fine. Based on what you said above, it looks that there is quite a bit of damage there. Just to be on the safe side, I would take everything off everything that can still be recovered from the car just in case. Again you never know.
I had a little damage with my previous standard corolla that I had. When I say little...I mean like I was almost certain I was gonna get the car back. But then, the insurance said it was not worth for them to repair it and all bs....so in the end I got F... big time since it had a fair bit of relatively new mods. :-l
I hope it's is not the case. :(

I go to a registered mechanic in Springvalve (Joyce Street).
His name is Chin and contact number is 04 11 684 059.
Top bloke and knows what he is doing. Does not mess around and most importantly does not charge you over the roof. :)

Hey mate,
I had a similar problem back in the days and when I checked it ended up being the rubber hose being lose. So, make sure that yours is tightened and secured properly.
I think for the ECU to reset you need to disconnect the battery for at least 30mins...there is an old thread on the forum on how to reset the ECU (try using the search).
Try giving the MAF a clean while you are at it. :-l

Well I have not had much experience with cruises myself (only 2 so far) but I must admit that indeed there are people sometime making very risky moves just to keep up. I was following someone at one stage and saw him overtake so close to a corner that I was telling my gf I just hope noone is coming in the other direction so that he does not get hurt. Really the road itself has lots of corners but really it is not worth it. If you are stuck behind someone from the public well it is bad luck there is no need to put other ppl's life and your life at stake.
Also, I am not sure who was following me at one stage but there were 3 cars (Matt, Lee & someone else) caught up to me and which I gave way straight away because I know as a competitive driver I would try to push my car or even myself to my limits. So, I purposely gave way so that I don't feel the need to go faster.
I believe may be a safer way of doing this might be to have a list (set by the organiser) who is going in what order based on a mixture of driver's experience, car mods and own ppl's choice. When we left from the car park, it ended up by everyone leaving in a rush and in no particular order.
On a side note, I had great fun at the cruise and looking forward to the next one. I was really happy having caught up with everyone after such a long time.
