  1. You have a white one Taka? I won't be surprised at all that peope are buying Kluger. Of the SUV that I was looking at recently, none come close to what Kluger can or has to offer. My only concern is that with such popularity, what would be the resale value when you try to sell it second hand or trade in a few years later.
  2. Thanks. That is good advice. Anyone has anything for or against QBE ? Thier 4 year new car replacement and also a good windscreen cover interest me. Just don't know how good they are with claims.
  3. I went to their web page and got a quote. Pretty cheap comparatively. However, how reputable they are?
  4. Just to clarify..... the sunroof came darken or factory tinted. There is no film but just added colour to the manufacturing process. I don't want a sunroof at all but the car came with one. No choice. I want to minimize any heat/UVR that come through the glass and hit the internal blind and heat up the blind even more. The blind will be closed nearly 100% of the time. The alternative, if no one prepared to tint it for me, might be to add a layer of aluminium foil over the upper surface of the internal blind and reflect back as much visible light, infra red and UVR as possible.
  5. I am getting a Kluger and I am going to have the windows tinted. Front windows with dark tint and colour match to the rear darken windows. The rear darken windows will just have clear tint for filtering UVR. One query: Can I have the sunroof tinted with dark film?? I want to reduce the heat that come through the sun roof as much as possible. I have asked MotorOne and they refused to do it and said that the sun roof may shatter or explode. Really? Sure the film would absorb the heat and I really doubt a bit of additional heat to the other side of the glass would cause such shattering. If it could happen to the sun roof, what about the windows? Should I take the "risk"?
  6. Hi all. I am getting a Kluger Grande next week. It is time to look for a suitable car insurance. Both wife and I have lifetime rating 1 with RACQ. They are quoting me $636 (with finance). They are generally very reputable in QLD. However they don't have any windscreen protection until later this month. Too late for me. Got a quote from Toyota dealer on Toyota insurance. It is about $850-$900 Western QBE quoting me $811 and they have 4 years new for old and windscreen protection. Don't know how good they are. Suncorp is generally much more expensive. Would probably not consider AAMI as I heard a lot of bad thing about them. Is there any other reputable insurance company I should approach? Thanks.
  7. That is ok, that is where he makes your money I know they make abundant profit out of this sort of added service/product even with the so call "fleet price". That is not going to happen. My friend is an ex car broker and also ex general manager of a dealership. He said he'll put the cars through his name. :)
  8. Are they fleet prices? I don't know. I just told the sales manager that he has to do his best and that were the pricing I got first up. I thought fleet pricing is better than that. Well you have done really well. I paid $59,900 for an AWD Grande with car mats and tow bar.....and that was with Fleet pricing! Hey what is 'Sound deadener spray to underbody of cars' ?? Well, the sales manager wouldn't move anymore from the original pricing. He showed me on his computer that he is only making eight hundred something dollars out of this deal and the petrol he put in got to come out of that figure too. It might be just a trick and he might get rebate from Toyota or receive payment from elsewhere. The trade in I got is reasonable for an old bomb ($2000 for a 13 year old Laser Ghia wtih 258000 km on the clock and need new tyres, wind screen & bottom rail of driver seat). So I signed up thinking that I have done the best that I can with no prior purchasing history from these guys. Managed to get a Rego number plate protector out of him though. I would get the X Pack, sound deadener spray and eletronic rust preventer instead of what previously mentioned.
  9. That is some sort of black bitumen or tar spray I think. It is sprayed to the underbody to add a bit more sound proofing. Sound proofing is not that good in Kluger compared to , say, Mazda CX-9.
  10. Are they fleet prices? I don't know. I just told the sales manager that he has to do his best and that were the pricing I got first up. I thought fleet pricing is better than that.
  11. The CX-9's middle seat is wider but the Kluger one is much more comfortable on the backrest.
  12. Hi all. I just do not understand why auxillary audio input socket is NOT available with the Grande model while it is available in all other models. This is a big oversight. Is there any work around for it? I don't need an iPod interface. All I need is a simple stereo socket somewhere near the gear shift that I can plug in an MP3 player or similar audio source. I don't want anything that go through FM transmitter & receiver. I would like to have direct connection to the rear of the audio system and recognise by the audio system as an auxillary input or a second CD player. Anyone know if that can be done? Thanks. :)
  13. Hi I am new here. Didn't know about this forum till today. We are very close to buying a Kluger Grande AWD. Brother-in-law will get one of the same with slightly different accessories. Of the few quotes that we got, the best one with the following accessories is $61500 on the road 1) Crystal Pearl 2) Bonnet protector 3) Headlight protectors 4) Mudguards – black (set of 4) 5) Black carpet mats – 1st/2nd rows 6) Alloy nudge bar 7) Parkassist – clearance parking sensors (2 head kit) 8) Parkassist – reverse parking sensors (4 head kit) Brother-in-law one is $60407 with 1) Crystal Pearl 2) Headlight protectors 3) Mudguards – black (set of 4) 4) Black carpet mats – 1st/2nd rows 5) Parkassist – clearance parking sensors (2 head kit) 6) Parkassist – reverse parking sensors (4 head kit) Are the price good enough or should I push harder? After delivery, we intend to add in MotorOne Ultimate Vehicle Protection that would cost $1900. This include the following 1) Paint protection 2) Enviroshield paint finish 3) Vinyl protection 4) Leather Protection 5) Rust proofing protection 6) Electronic Rust stopper protection 7) Sound deadener spray to underbody of cars Maybe I should get them to include the protection pack? That might be pushing a bit too hard...... Thanks. :)
