After 50.000km my LHR shock absorbers are leaking on my 2004 Toyota Corolla Sportivo. Car is still under warranty and I've had my Pedders springs in for only 15,000km.
I was told I wasnt covered under warranty due to having springs which I know and I might have to just
upgrade to Koni Shocks....
Is there anything else I can do with Toyota to get them to fix it under warranty? I Spoke to the warranty clerk at Toyota Preston and he said you should be covered but he'd have to write a letter into
Toyota but then after speaking to him today he done a big back flip....
Anyone else have this problem?
-
if you break the law then you deserve to be fined. ie not having your licence with you.
I dont know about the fog light rule as we dont have that problem in melbourne :D
-
may be interested also depending on the finial price and all...
same here, im in melb

Cut down front bracket fitted without a problem.
Definately the intake, Exhaust, front strut brace and springs have been checked.
Intake is very close to the chassy and the battery bracket etc, one of the washes actually
broke in half thats holding the intake so there must be a lot of pressure when the car is turning and
when on bumpy road.

I had my TRD cold air intake fitted a while ago and didnt have any problems
But recently everytime I turn right i get a huge amount of noise which seems like the
CAI his hitting the inside of the engine and at highspeeds on the freeway at around 120km/h
it makes rattling noises.
Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Ta.

Just wondering what everyone thoughts are on the following 3 meters. Which is the better one to get RPM, accurate speed, shifting gears etc...
1. Apexi RSM-GP (Rev / Speed Meter) $349
2. G-TECH Pro RR Performance Meter $659
3. Greddy Intelligent Informeter $449
I found these on modyourcar.com.au under electronics section.
Cheer.
Apexi RSM because it has a blue screen and looks cool.

AAMI is good if like those extra benefits rent a car etc.
I'm currently with AAMI and Just cars will cover me for the same price with mods included.
I'm turning 25 in a few months so i'll just stick with AAMi and have them cover me for all mods.
AAMI charge me just over 1000 and just cars would charge me $920 for a stock sportivo with entertainment system.

gday,
grille will be easy to DIY,just unscrew 3 screws at top and pull out,to replace just push bottom part of grille into clip holders and put back the 3 screws at top of grille.
all the best,
lauschie
You dont need a manual for any of those things. its all DIY, if your not sure just get a mate to help ya.

-
yes foglight my trd cai is fitted with trd filter
-
These are from fulcrum suspension i've been quoted around 2k
if you go to access auto speak to Adrian.
-
I think i'll have to reset the ECU.
-
you need to block off that tube that you have plumbed back into the intake, all those symptoms appart from the slower throttle response are normal.
So block the one at throttle body and on the intake, that should be easy.
Shock Absorbers Leaking
in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Posted
I spoke to the warranty clerk at Toyota and he put in an authority for me and the
shocks will be fixed under warranty.
The Springs shouldn't be leaking just because I have heavy duty springs in the car, even though
I was told springs void my warranty it depends if the springs were i direct cause of the
shocks leaking, which isnt the case.
So hopefully this provide some information in case this happens to you!
