  1. Hi Guys

From all the advice I've got so far, i've sourced and purchased all the parts I need ready for the tune.

I've decided to go for Greddy E-manage...I'm looking for a tuner in melbourne with dyno facilities.

At this point i'm looking at Technik Tuning, & Chasers.

Has anyone used anyone else that they can recommend? I've had some bad experiences in the past with poor tuning so i'm after anyone opinions.

    thanks

  2. Hi.

I'm looking to get a cat back exhaust and its difficult to find one that

you can simply buy and bolt on.

So what I want to know is, is there one you can buy and bolt on?

or where is the best place to get a custom cat back exhaust in stainless steel?

I'm looking at something reasonbly priced and good quality, nothing too ridiculous like a huge cannonball.

  3. I'm 23 years old and it was the first time I've had insurance, although with clean record. JustCar gave me rating one and I'm paying $823 with rating one protection for Sportivo.

AAMI was cheaper ($723 or something) but had higher excess so I just went with JustCar in case I wanted to mod.

I'm paying just over a grand w/ AAMi

  4. Ive been waiting for this system for a while now, it was just released in the US, no price of as yet. Its made op 2.25 inch piping. Im wondering how it would stack up against the CES since the CES has 2.5 inch piping. Does the .25 inch make that much of a difference??? Surely magnaflow would have tested theirs on a dyno. What do you guys think? is 2.5 too much for NA?

    2.25 or 2 1/4 is better then 2.5inch

  5. you would want to get either of these after you have done CAI, Flywheel and Full exhaust (both cat back and headders)

    AMEN to that ;)

    yep! will do.

Install is pretty easy as its plug n play!

I think they are reluctant for you to bring a product for them to install if they stock it, thats what I was told. IE, they sell Fidanza flywheels etc.

  6. Hi guys..

I'm looking to get a ECU for my sporitivo to be combined with cat back exhaust, TRD / AEM CAI and Flywheel clutch combo, Thats about as far as I'll

    go with engine modifications.

In saying that what would be the best ECU, for running smooth and gaining good power.

I spoke to danz on the forum at the last meet and he recommended meridian motorsport for 2zz-ge modifications and they really do know the 2zz-ge inside and out. They sell fully mapped 2zz-ge Power FC for $1750 with hand controller.

I'm also looking at Unichip as a possibility as its priced well and proven to be good for once off modications that dont require re-tuning.

I know that there is a big difference in price, just want recommendations from peoples experience and knowledge. thanks.

  7. as far as im aware i dont think they have alist of stuff that isnt genuine that has been fitted onto your car

cus if it comes down tot it just change it back before you take it to them when the motor blows

the best thing to do is call toyota and ask to speak to the warranty officer and tell him what you wanna do and ask what exactly doesit viod

he doesnt need to know wh you are

also for your own peace of mind fit it after the service just to be sure

Even if something happen to your car, they would have to say the CAI and Exhaust are a direct causes of this to void ur warranty

  8. I dont get you guys, anything over $350 is just a huge ripoff, even $350 is expensive, but $500  :o for an aluminium pipe and a pod?

exactly and i agree with rollamods go get one custom made but to an exact copy from an australian store that you trust and you will get the exact same gains

also by making my own one all im gonna do is copy the TRD intake but its gonne be alot shorter

ill have the airpod sitting where the box sits with some stainless steel piping or whatever needs to be used with the sensor holder bracket thing and ill get a cover made up so i dont get into trouble with the cops it doesnt seem to far out of this world to try out besides i have exhaust so i guess a CAI will work in my case but i beleive the air has shorter distance to travel from POD to THROTTLE so it will have less restriction there for better response

i will have piping leading the air upto the pod ofcourse im not that stupid LOL

less restriction and better throttle response, why didn't TRD think of that? <_<
