  1. O yea this just happened to me!

Was very lucky that it was noticed and i didn't keep on driving.

Oil was ****** out like in the video.

Has been temporarily glued but i need to get it replaced asap.

I assume i have no chance at claiming it under expired warranty

Yes, I believe Toyota will replace the hose free of charge even with expired warranty

yes i found that is true,

    Car is booked in tomorrow

Wish they would install the new whole metal pipe but all they do is replace the hose

    Cheers

  2. You mentioned in another post that your car came standard in 16s. If you are going to 17s I doubt you will have any dramas with brake caliper clearance. Just be sure to check the offset. Depending on what type of rim you are looking at, you might find a tyre shop that will tell you if it will fit your car. When I bought mine, I decided on style and size by talking to local tyre shops. I was going to buy through one of them till I found I could buy for half of the $ online.

The wheels i am after are in Melbourne, and the stock 16" wheels don't fit anymore.

  3. Hey guys has been a while between posts

    Currently running 20" 245 35 20

I'm a bit over running 20's with the low profile, crap mileage and expensive tyres

Thinking of going 17" 235 50 17. tyres are reasonably priced in that size, although it isn't very common

Was thinking along the lines of wheels that look similar to the buddy clubs, don't know how it would look tho

    Anyone have any advice?

    Cheers

Edit they are also going to be black so less cleaning

  4. I am embarassed to admit I am wrong in thinking the part I was talking about was the wheel arch. This part I have circled is what I am actually talking about. I can see a tiny crack on the top bit within the circle. A hairline crack. Dust may have hidden it but zoom in and you see what i am talking about?

That entire piece is broken though as per the original post. That small crack is as a result of the main break. I would imagine this crack isn't going to be an issue once the component is replaced.

On a side note, who fitted the RSB and how were the brackets attached (eg. rattle gun)? The ones UR used to supply were prett beefy and I would t imagine them to budge much of tightened up to the factory mounts. In that case, they could have been applying extra stress to the mounting points.

I installed the RSB and i just used a normal ratchet,

If that is the case and the bracket isn't a perfect fit and could have helped cause the problem, what do you recommend? source an aftermarket bracket?

    Cheers
