  2. Have to have rear speakers- if not its simple to install rear speakers if you have an aftermarket deck.
  3. Power to weight- my car weighs 780kgs packs 115hp atw- WRX weighs in at 1500kg and has 160hp atw YOU DO THE MATH :D A GT starlet with mild boost WILL beat a WRX, well maybe if you were driving the starlet the WRX would. :P ;)
  4. Hey all, Im after a roll cage to suit a 2005 Corolla Sportivo, either full or half cage. Does anyone know if the likes of Cusco do one or any other brand for that matter...and also where to purchase it... Any help would be great, thanks in advance. Cheers :) Paul
  5. Gt starlet conversion- get a front cut and all is well!!and these are pretty cheap at the wreckers cheapest i have seen is for 1400 and sell the rest of the parts that you dont need off. and this is a much more advanced motor than the one in the corsa. Also will probably have better fuel eco. Also the 5efe from a paseo might fit if you dont want a turbo... :)
  6. Starlet conversion for sure- no doubt about it It drops right in with no hassle, only wiring the only thing and thats to be expected!! You'd save money by doing it this way because with the 4AG series of motors youd have to fabricate mounts etc this is time consuming and costly. this money could be spent on having an aftermarket turbo set-up or if you want simple high flow the standard CT-9, some people making over 160hp using this turbo. Plus with a aftermarket computer- AWESOME- Money more well spent!!! Oh and the 4EFTE is a strong engine, as with all toyota engines so it'll take some boost!! :D If you want the power, 200hp at the wheels only a few steps away!!! Thats what i reckon.
  7. Thanks ill check them out to see if they would be suitable!! Cheers!! :)
  8. Hey just want to say there is nothing wrong with getting a Starlet- they are a great car, toyota reliability and there are plenty of people modding them up!!and getting some scary power figures out of a 1.3L, like 200+hp!!! :D You may think they are a girly car, but if your keen get a turbo conversion for it and watch the faces of WRX/SS commos as you blow them away!!!!all day every day!power to weight baby!! :P I have a Starlet GT(JDM starlet turbo), with minor mods, no turbo mods and every time i give it some, it responds. So for me a starlet is awesome, even Aus delivered NA starlets. If you want to see what people are doing with Starlets check out- Au Starlet Club You'll find a heap of Starz. Laters :)
  9. Hey all, I have just joined this forum and am thinking its a pretty decent forum and will be making more and more posts!!!and am looking forward to coming down to WSID for a run- havn't been in my Starlet...will have to go!! Still thats enough from me. I'm after a set of EL44 paseo rear slotted discs, if anyone can help me out with this it would be awesome!!! Dont mind if they are second hand as long as good condition. Thanks a heap Cheers Paul
