  1. has the head unit been taken out or has it been rewired somehow? if it had been, then could be the cause of live +ive wire been connected to the ignition wire... hope this helps andrew, No, all is original, nothing has been removed. hmz.. have you checked the radio ignition fuse? other then that i think there is something wrong with the stock head unit that you have. Yes I have checked the radio fuse, in fact changed it just to be sure. Looks like I'll have to pull the radio out, I was trying to avoid that. Thanks for your help.

  3. I have a Hilux 4x4 SR5 2000 model and i am having problems with the radio loosing its memory while cranking the engine. I have to enter the security code each time the vehicle has started. This is a diesel engine and I thought that maybe the battery connections may be faulty causing voltage drop to the radio. I have renewed all battery connections. Could someone assist with this problem. Regards Darryl
