Hi guys,

I was wondering can the Aurion read DVD - R disks on the factory satnav unit? I would like to burn audio files onto the disk in a DATA way then being a audio disk. What I mean is at the moment I burn onto CD-R in iTunes therefor I can have 700MB and around 100 tracks on a single disk. iTunes gives the option to burn to a DVD and if you think about it a DVD is 4.7GB there for I could have 4.7GB of music around 1000 tracks I could have on a single DVD disk.

Would it be reasonable to expect the new Aurion to look similar?

My wish list :-

• Adaptive Cruise
• Forward IR camera (for night/bad weather driving - see below pic)

• Park assist (i.e. self parking capability as seen in upper spec Euro cars)
• Bi Xenon headlights.
• Puddle lamps under the wing mirrors
• Electric Folding wing mirrors with puddle lamps
• Heated seats
• IPOD interface (with ability for menu navigation via steering wheel buttons)
• 12V socket on center console for rear passengers.
• 12V socket in boot.

Probably some of the above would be more fanciful rather than practical, but I'm sure there's some stuff in the list which is feasible!

My son has a current E350 and the night time assist doesn't really work. What I mean is that we did a little test I stood up the street and my son could barely see me turn the night time assist on and he still couldn't really see me like in the day. So it works but it doesn's more of a gimmic if anything but still cool to have

On this note how could you get the latest maps?. Would it be a torrent search? or would you need to have a original copy of the maps disk. Would you need to burn it with a special dvd burning program that can read the data files or would nero do the job?. cause it would be good if you can save 500$ on a map dvd and waste about 10 blank dvds every time it plays up just burn another. thanks

hi guys i ha a 2008 ZR6 with 33 thousand KHS on the clock haven't done major mods to it eye lids and a few trim inserts have been changed around i noticed when i first got the car brand new that if i had the wheel on full lock i would feel a click in the steering but now being a few years old i can feel a click in the center of the wheel and even more noticeable on a full lock you can just see the click in the wheel if you look hard enough and now that my son has had his Ls for 5months now he says he can feel the breaks could be better he says he applies the breaks to a cretin pressure and when he hits 20KPHs every time it is the breaks feel like they let go and he has to apply more pressure i cant feel this when i break and my son can feel the clicks in the wheel as well my car has not been in any accidents

has anyone else had these kind of issues before with theres?

Can't say I've heard of these issues before. I would suggest you get your tie-rod ends, wheel bearings and steering rack tested by a reputable mechanic as this is the only way you'll get a definite answer. Same with your brakes. If there is something wrong with either of these I wouldn't waste time on a forum asking about it - book it in for an inspection asap.

Also, PLEASE use punctuation and maybe even correct spelling... It's a nightmare trying to read your post. A full stop every now and then doesn't take that much effort but it does make for far easier reading and as a bonus people will treat you with more respect especially given that you're old enough to have a son on his L's.

ok thanks again your way is easier i thought i would have been a case of just undoing a few screws holding the socket moving a drilling but no sounds of it ill be doing it the way youve said thanks again

i was thinking more along the lines of moving it completely and having it come through the side of the glovebox or would that be more of a pain the just rewiring it

i was wondering if i could possibly move the 12volt power source to the glove box (the one im talking about is under the satnav scree in front of gear select) because when im on the go i would be charging my phone and id put it on the glovebox anyway why im saying this is so i dont have to look at in while im driving haha and so theres no leads running all over the interior

any ideas???

i actually wouldn't mind it if toyota would frig that 3rd reflector off in the middle of the bumper!!! and a few other little details but thats the main one THE 3RD REFLECTOR!!!

Really the aurion dosent have a Lexus engine that's what made me buy the aurion because the guys at my dealership said it had the rx engine and gearbox

and the other was my Benz nut son was impressed with the aurion engine and how responsive it is over his E350 he said put a Lexus badge on it with a haha your an idiot smile on his face

Ever seen Holden guys with their Chevy badges would I be a idiot if I was to put the Lexus badge on the Aurion well let’s face it has a Lexus engine right

Thanks djkor I knew about the top screws and the push clip but I didn't know about the bottom part with the hook things I was pulling at it and it didn't want to move or come loose so I posted this up for some help as is it still wasent as easy as I thort at removing the lower part of the grill

there is no way this is true my son is a benz nut and currently has a e350 coupe with 225kw 6 the in his text message i sent him with this video in his words "this being a 2004 e63 amg with 275kw there is no way the aurion will win thanks for vid dad" we had a little floor it race on the freeway last week starting from 80kph and he ****s all over the aurion by about 15 meters finishing at 160kph

i have the same sort of problem my ZR has 20% tint side and rear and it take about 10 - 15 minutes to get the car to a cool temp even when on the highway like DJKOR said it works its best when you are moving at highway speeds. my still takes about 10 minutes can there be something wrong with my aurion its quiet anoying when its a 40* day

hello I’ve recently found that if I start my aurion on a cold start and start driving straight away I get a supercharged wine and a diesel sound if you know what I mean and also the gearbox is very harsh at shifting up and down but if I start it on a cold start let it warm up for 5 minutes or so I don’t get these problems I was wondering am i doing any damage to the engine or gearbox

as i have reconised on the new aurion over my 2008 one is that it has no external door trim i really like it would be easir to polish haha i was worndering if i can take them of my aurion is it been held on by doubble sided type or glue or is it been held on by clips.

i have a factory satnav head unit and i have got a aftermarket ipod interface installed (the satnav unit thinks the ipod is a cd and the controlls on the stearing wheel still work) i was looking at a harmon/kardon amp speakers ect. or bang and olefsen i prefere the harmon/kardon logic 7 set up this is the same one in my sons E350

i was wondering to everyone with aurions with sound systems i wanting to get a good sound system with soround sound with min speakers of 12 and max 18 including subwoffers and a overhead dvdplayer with optinal moonroof installed im looking to spend around 5,000$ max so if any of you people have a sound system that is good but not as good as this and it gives you good sound

i was wondering if u can get a remote start system on my aurion zr6 with push botton start my son has a mercedes e350 and all he dose is when you are walking up to it he pushes the panic botton once and the engine starts and it can be done on the aurion as i came across this on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzPsgOgkjo4 its the same key as mine

i was undering if you can tighten the spring in the aurion boot with a spoiler as when you pop the boot it opens all the way rather then opening up halfway.
