  1. yeh i was thinking the same thing probably not a great idea. was thingking the handling would be great but didnt factor in the tail swing. the main emphassis was going to be track and hill climb but was toying with how it would go rally?. like you said not last too long even if only taking it relatively easy .which would be hard to do. and once i start getting the panels done dont wont to wreck them straight away, even if i can make another set. as for guts for me its about the handling, there not a drag car take one through some twisty roads and see the smile on your face at the other end. we had a guy that wanted a carbon body done for his lotus elise when i had the factory running, because he wanted to drag it and have the fastest in the world.TURKEY. i dont put all my work tools in the mr2 and i dont take my work car for drives on the weekend. its horses for courses.

  2. i will have to try and track him down see his suggestions. i was thinking of lesser upgrades to start with . i mean supercharge and turbo are fairly obvious. and if i do either it changes the categorie i can race in. thought i would build up to things as i strip it and make all the carbon fibre panels etc.was hopeing for some input on staying NA. imight be doing this with a spyder but i picked up the write off and half cut at a good price . doing all the carbon work myself . so seeing where i can get some other gains after a new exhaust. which i will probably swap of the road car as its a remus one. what sort of $ looking at for the turbo conversion?

  3. dont know if i can make it now .plans for the week before changed. not going on mr2 run, not going on brass monkey run, now going to MG club hillclimb. mr2 run moved to sun 26th . dont know if i can get away from misses and bub on sat and sun. dont think it will be worth asking?. see you next time maybe. been told i have to show my face before i can try and sell my wheels and cheap carbon goodies.

  4. i got the grinder out, cut part way through the front bar then got the tin snips and cut the rest of the way. took some bolts out used the snips again and cut the front third of the guard off then pulled what was left of the headlight out and tossed it in the bin. bent the bonnet back closer to shape. then started on the steering removing the main bolt that holds the front arm on as it had a huge bend in it and had ripped the nut out of its support.
