  1. Hi all, this my first ever post. We have two 8+ year old vehicles, a Camry and a Corolla. The Corolla is a far superior build (Japanese) and definately a keeper, the Camry is being considered for replacement. Both cars have been extremely reliable and we will continue to buy Toyota. We've been looking at Aurions, Perth suddenly has quite a few ex rental AT-X models all under $20,000, around 30,000kms on the clock, and generally the bodywork has been ok except for chips on the bonnet or scuffs below the rego plate. That alone has put me off but I can't say I like the idea of buying ex rentals as I think the drivers probably haven't treated the cars with a great deal of respect. Can anyone advise just how good the Aurion is as a replacement for the Camry and is it capable of receiving a thrashing by car renters? I'm looking at a car up to 2 years old, want to keep it another 6 or 7 years and preferrably white as I'm expecting it to be hit here in Perth and white is an easier colour to match. All our cars have been hit by coffee drinking/mobile phone using/lane cutting clowns. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Nick
  2. Recently bought a set of Bridgestone Turanza ER592 tyres for my 2004 Corolla. Made a big difference in ride, feel and noise reduction. Quite impressed.
  3. Wow that was quick. I tried that but the dent is just too far to reach by hand let alone try and work on it with a tool. I need to go a bit further. But thanks for the swift reply. Nick
  4. This is like standing up and doing an intro in an alcoholics anonymous group - Hi my name's Nick and for the last three years I've owned a Corolla Levin. It's the first Japanese car I've ever owned and I must say I'm rather impressed. The quality of the build, the handling and the economy is very good, I've recently found I can get over 800km's out of a tank on long journeys - very impressive. I have two jobs, one as a computer operator and the other as a car detailer. Most of the time the back seats are flat and I use the car like a van to carry all my equipment and materials. I've carried allsorts on the roofrack and my wife reckons I need a Ute but there's no need, my Corolla handles everything. So I'm a convert from German cars to Japanese - ok money does come into it But a great little car and I'll be keeping this until it dies - but of course it never will.
  5. Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I've a Corolla that someone kindly dented outside Woolworths and the dent is in the area of the fuel tank - but on the opposite side of the car. I'm hoping to get behind the dent and massage it out. Can anyone give me a rough idea on how to remove the interior to get to this part of the car? On first glance it's all fitted quite well and no obvious clips or connectors to undo. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Nick
