  1. If you're into electronics, I'm sure you could turn it down somehow either by replacing the speaker or piezo beeper or maybe adding some resistors or a 'volume reduction' circuit! Dont know if this makes any sense but I think I just pulled it out of my a**.. B) :D

If you guys found a way to turn it down, i'd like to know as well!

  2. I'd do a rwd conversion if thats possible.. then twin turbo charge it and ripout the side passenger seat and put 3 tanks of NOS there (2f2f style) + all your bolt ons, forged engine internals, LSD, 18inch wheels, wolf ems and the lot =) Yeah, and also remove the rear seats cuz I dont think they'd be of any real use, put in a roll cage in its place..

I guess that'd be about what I did if I sooo loved the corolla and won the lotto.. Which obviously would never happen either way

  3. Enny Mini,

Not to be rude or anything...but that is why it is called a face lift :)

Still, it looks alright, it is keeping with the corolla image of bland. Ours is just a hotted up kind of bland. If you know what I mean?

    No offense taken mate :P

Well, what I ment was they could have done BETTER than rip off OUR stivo parts + interior as well that was what I was gettin at..

Okay, I'll give em some credit for the facelift that their speedo is a cool white :P

  4. mate.. maybe you might have been misinformed (or i) but stivo rims arent as cheap as you think them to be.. i got quoted slightly more than 1k for ONE stivo rim from the service centre..

and those turanza rubber arent that cheap either.. 180 a single wheel. You're valuing a set of 4 at $280? That doesnt even cover 2 sets of rubber let alone the rims. I hate to say but i dont think anyone in the right state of mind is going to take you up on that trade in my honest opinion :P

  5. This particular Celica would have had quite a few mods done to it. The rev limit definitely have been increased by the Apexi Power FC and i also suspect he has a heavier duty clutch and possibly a lightened flywheel from the way the car performed, and how quick it revved.

Yeahh.. i too suspect a lightened flywheel and maybe aftermarket cams and pulleys.. definately more than just your standard bolt ons (cai, headers + xorst).. and most definately the Power FC for it to even rev to 8.5K

  6. How funny is it our engines are shipped to SA to be mated to the body, then shipped to Aus, and the whole shebang is still cheaper than an Astra Turb!

Now ask yourself why toyota sells the most cars in australia?

Heh.. they know how to maximise profits and still sell their 'tin cans' for wayyy cheaper than your holden commie.. PLUS being economical all at the same time! :P
