  1. Thanks SupaTouring, Sounds like I will have to give Toyota a call and have a talk to them... Anyone else had this issue?.... Cheers.
  2. Hi All, I’ve just bought a 99 Camry Conquest Sedan. The Antenna mast is broken. I have been able to remove it and pull out the motor assembly. In doing so I have discovered that the antenna is not only broken in half, but was also just sitting in the barrel. There is still a little piece of the mast down in the barrel where it has broken off lower down. Also, I was able to pull the barrel straight out of the motor housing. I’ve never had a car with a power antenna before, but I would have thought there should have been something attached to the bottom of the mast in the barrel that would make it go up and down. So I am wondering if not only is the mast broken, but maybe there is a problem with the motor, etc too?... So what are my options?: - Maybe a whole new power antenna assembly (inc mast) from the wreckers?, - Or if there isn’t a problem with the motor, can the mast be replaced by itself?, - Or to be honest the power part of it really is not essential, so I would put up with just a standard (manually operated) antenna if that would be the easiest way to go. Also I am trying to get out of it fairly cheaply at present, so this might be the better option in that regard. However, if I do just replace it with a normal old antenna will it be easy enough to insert this into the little rubber mount (and top chrome slotted nut) that belongs with the vehicle? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance. (Couple of pics below of the current antenna - not very good condition as you can see!)
