  1. Thanks Santuary, will start with the speedometer in my search for the loose connection! I have found a DIY to take apart the speedo for it online so will see how I go with it.
  2. Thanks ASG14, I will look into it to see if there are any loose wires. I was just very surprised as this was the first time it has had this sort of a problem. Would it just be that over time some wires just get loose from the fittings? As the only thing I did myself that could have caused it was change the bulbs where the A/C controls are as the original bulbs had blown but that was over a month ago.
  3. Hi All, Was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on an issue I had today with my 99 V6 Camry. I was driving on the M5 motorway and as soon as I had passed the toll gates the speedo just went all the way up and than came right down while the car was going at the same speed. Anyways I pulled into an emergency bay and realised that the indicators and all gauges apart from the fuel one was no longer working. The car was still running though so I decided to try and drive home. I probably drove for another 10 minutes without the speedo and other stuff working but as soon as I had entered the M7motorway everything suddenly came back to normal. Right now everything is back to normal and I have no idea what could have caused that. I have had the car for a few years and it has just gone over 240,000km however have always serviced it on time and only recently changed the sparks and timing belt. Does anyone have any ideas on what would have caused it? Thanks
