  1. Errrr... okay... Anyways, if your looking for engines, search partslocator.com I hope you have a mechanic to figure out why you distroyed your bottom end and need a new short block. Also, the 2zz-ge has a timing chain not timing belt and is supposed to be good for the life of the engine, so I highly doubt that would have been a problem. Thanks for that I'll look into it
  2. True, At this stage looking at timing belt to be the ultimate cause. But regardless it still it should not have occurred. The most I pushed it was almost 240k still haveing plenty to left to spare. :) It can go to 280 but not willing as brakes and associated have not been modified to suite. Only once I have done this. It's been cared and mantained like a baby. My only issue is finding a replacement engine. Being fairly new it is hard to come by. I only need the same exact engine to replace. What sucks it's only the small block. The piston pushed threw the casing. Other than that it is perfect. Thank you for your reply but if u hear of an engine or small block on the market let me know. What really sh..s me is having double. Wiring loom ect. However if that what it takes to get her back on the road well so be it. I budgeted for a replacment but I also need other stuff such as a front bar, new tyres which I can get , rego and compliant which I imagine should not be to difficult. Thanks mate, if ur in Brisbane and know of those who can help that would be sweet. I'll buy u a few drinks. Am willing to go interstate. (There is nothing worse than seeing ur ride sitting on the driveway (particually over a year and having it sit more, particually when u have the funds to get it back on the road) :( Hayley, Brisbane
  3. was it red by chance? no yellow
  4. Hi. This is my first post in aid of looking for a small block or worse an engine for my gen 7 2001 sx manual. Who knows how I manage to throw a piston through the block at 30km/h ?? It has been driven hard but not enough for this to occur. Can anyone steer me into the right direction. I have done some slight mod's to the car *pod filter *17" x 8" on rear 17" x 6" symmons * K-Sport adjustable suspension * 2/14" exhaust to manifold. I have put this on the dyno and did 151kw. Thing is it's a sx with zr features. This was a lucky buy. I searched for a about 2 years for this car in the ambition to modify for track days and show and shines. (Until this ***** happened) God know's this an expensive set back :( Cheers, Brisbane
