  1. Hi all, Thanks for your comments, At the moment I'm racing in timed events which attract all sorts of cars, mainly road cars. Ive only had the car for about a 3 weeks and have entered it in 1 Motorkana, which is a series of short twisty tracks marked out by witches hats, where handbrake turns are a must for good times. This weekend I will be entering in Lap Sprints at Hidden Valley, and these are timed laps where I nominate a time and receive points according to how close I am to my time without going under it. These events are over four laps and usually 3 races a meet. I think the motor is pretty close to a standard 2.0 litre, not too sure of its history, but I know it has been built to race in modified production car class. Will find out how hard it goes on the weekend and by the way the airstrip isn't really for high speed runs its a bit rough for that, its mainly used for the Motorkana's.
  2. Hi all, I own a ST160 (according to the build plate) Celica Import, I am having trouble sourcing front brake rotors as the only listing I can find is for the ST162 which I think was built in the same year but these have a different offset from the hub to disc surface and dont line up with the caliper and are also thicker than that of the 160. I am wondering if this is a common problem and if I have to upgrade to the ST162 brake caliper/bracket. Thanks in advance Chuck
  3. Hi all, This is my first post, I drive a ST160 Celica which has been modified to race in modified production cars. I will be using it for Street car shootout events initially,(Regulatory timed events), and Motorkana events. I live in Darwin which is in the Northern Territory, Australia. I will be racing at Hidden Valley Raceway and Hughes Airstrip, which is a historical WWII airstrip. Nice meeting you all Chuck
