  1. I have found a 1995 tarago gls to buy. Any pitfalls, pros, cons?

    Any opinions appreciated.

Our 94 4x4 GLS is a bit thirsty but the Handling and Ride height make up for it.

Dad's 2wd model has more stick and 9L/100K !!! Seems to hit every gutter though... and it's not lowered.

Get the suspension checked by someone like Pedders.... Our 300,000K 4x4 model cost $2700 in Shocks/Springs and just about every bush under it.

Completely changed the Van though.... 150% better

If you need a Van with space, you'll do a lot worse than a FAT Wombat... hehe. :P

  2. I have just purchased a 1997 Tarago and would like to put mag wheels on it. Can anyone tell me if I have to get anything specific or will any 15's be ok. Just in case it isn't obvious, I know absolutely nothing about cars or tyres, I just know what looks good

My Wombat shape (TCR10) 1994 4x4 TOYOTA Tarago GLS has Alloy's as standard.. Specs on it are

    RIM SIZE, HOLES, OFFSET, PCD

    15" x 6 , 5 , 50 , 114.30

    PCD 5x114.3

    Offset +50

Tyres 215 55 15 (Run 4.5km slower than actual GPS Speed)

I know Lexus LS400 rims fit including my Sleeve tapered nuts, If you buy a S/H set then GET THE NUTS !!!!

Fords are same stud pattern, I know EF are wrong offset (Hang out). So i'm guessing AU and newer will be closest fit (+35 ?). <_<

Personally I'm lookin for 17" BA rims to replace the Factory ones (+36 ?). Note the tyres in 17" need to be 215 55 17 to have my speed adjusted to within 2 KM/H of Actual. B)

If you want 225/45-18's you'll need 8.5" wide rim with an offset +42mm to 45mm, all around should work from my research and look mad. (Rolling the Guards may be needed.)

    Hope this helps. :D
