  1. Cost isnt the strange thing the strange thing is you bought a magna... speaking of my mate blew an engine up in his 1986 magna you know the one looks like a door stop with a 2.6 4 cyl an engine that s as powerful as a cement mixer.

Well he went on holidays and his dad paid 2100 for a new motor for it and then expected him to pay for it!! Naturally he told his dad.. "Hope you enjoy your new magna"

  2. I'll start 2 of my faves where on my first car my Datto 1600,

I installed aircraft Landing lights from the wings of a Macchi Jet fighter as spotlights (Like night to day) needed one hell of an alternator for them though if you put them on at idle the car stalled with std alternator.

I also installed a wingtip strobe light off a Macchi Jet fighter next to my rear number plate to give the hint to tailgating road trains on my regular runs from wagga wagga to melbourne in my youth. If they get too close hit the button a few seconds later it was essentially like a really bright camera flash. they dont sit on your bum for long after that!!!

Other mods including re-routing windscreen sprayer to rear wheel arches for instant wet road for drift initiation.

  3. When i ordered my car from new town toyota they had it sitting there in wildfire as ordered but they had no spoilers available to them. I had been told spoilers where arriving two days later. 1 week later still no car. I rang up and said whats the deal and my dealer said oh the spoiler wont eb ready until the end of the month (3 weeks away) grrrr i asked if i could have the car and bring ti back to get the spoiler fitted. Of course i cant have it they cant garuntee the job on the spoiler if the car goes to me first??????? So i kicked nmy feet and stamped and went in there "i'm paying 32k and you wont even give me the car blah blah" i walked away with a new corolla loan car, and a free paint protection package to sweeten the wait.

I went in on agreed date the 29th feb only to be told they need another week to fit slim line weather shield. I told them to keep it and fit at first service.

Long story short my paint looks brilliant still possibly due to paitn protection package but waiting so long for my new car was a bit of s ousr experience just wanted it!

  4. 50% to book full payment prior to the event. At this point i'm heading out there on the 12th for another event for a bunch of friends as timer and judge etc to try and secure people to get the deposit together will keep you all posted!!

At this particular event on the 12th my friend will be finally taking his AE86 out for a run he has just spent nearly 5k on the motor and its run in now. A mean 4AGE. He has also transplanted the s13 silvia suspension brakes and steering into it for a wider front track he has mad skills and this particular ae86 is bright yellow!! He has a turbo kit for the little 1600 but he hasnt put it on yet.

  5. Remeber guys he wants a DRIFT car for under 10k a dead stock AE86 is gonne eat up 50-70% of that budget and finding a KE70 for sale in even half decent condition isnt as easy as it sounds (My nephew is looking for one) other alternatives include older celica's you can just as easily instal 4AGE's into them and much cheaper than AE86 and just as nice looking.

Bang for buck i still think a 1G soarer is gonna be easiest and most power for dollar. pick one up for say 5-7k depending on condition

    1k max for coilovers

spend rest on a clutch (If manual already) and an intercooler

Find someone selling a bigger turbo in good condition 2nd hand bolt em on

whatever you got left go to town if not manual already find a gearbox and put it in.

those are guesstimates though and realistically getting a 4AGE in a corolla whilst it is easy who knows how many kays the motor has done and if its in good cond setting the Suspension and gearbox up its a lot of money to get a 4A competitive for drifting and its jsut not as easy to drift as a turbo when you got power on tap. You gotta be committed to the corner and carry speed through it with a 1600 motor you dont have the power or torque to correct half way through really.

  6. The biggest difference will be that USA models will run 130V where australian models will run on 220/240V

Whether the transformers in the power supply (On the cable for slim lines i think) are correct is the biggest issue check the sepcs on the tranny and see if it will run 240V down to the voltage required for the unit. I suspect you might need to buy another power supply to run it here.

  7. wonder if 200KILRWASP is avail?

    I am toying with the idea of getting ;

BLOODSUCKA for my bright red aurion

Its mostly cos i love the whole vampire thing i wonder what one of the black thai grills would look like with some blood soaked fangs sprayed into it so the car looks like it has a mouth full of fangs and the plate BLOODSUCKA underneath...

Would it look corny? I'm not sure

  8. Bonnet pins if they really do race the car usually accompany a sticker on your car pointing to the Tow point and the battery location if they dont have these they dont run on a race track... usually...

  9. I can sympathise and being my court date was three years ago and only tomorrow do i get my full licence back i have learned my lesson. Having an extraordinary licence for the last 3 years has taught me a few things.

    1. dont compression lock up into corners at 120 kays.

    2. dont mouth off to the copper when he see's it.

Take my advice save it for the track!!!

The coppers exact words where.. "Theres a right way and a wrong way to go around a corner.. and you did it the F***ing idiot way"

$750 bucks and three years suspension and i had to sell my DR30 skyline after as it was useless on an extraordinary.
