  1. As with any NA car, start with the basics. Get the air in and ou more efficiently. So exhaust system and induction for sure. Going further starts to get a pricier but you can look at tuning of the factory ECU, light weight pulleys for the engine, more aggressive cams, light weight rims (double benefit as it is rotational mass), a lightened flywheel (same principal as rims though can affect driveabilty for some). The list goes on and on and costs more and more lol if you're super keen you can look at engine rebuilds including an increase in bore size, higher compressions, forced induction etc, you're limited by your wallet so work out how much you wanna spend then go from there :) Good luck and have fun with it
  2. If the car is still under warranty just get it serviced by the dealer that way any faulty parts are replaced no questions asked and you know you're covered if something goes wrong because only a certified mechanic has touched it. If it's out of warranty then that depends on your technical skills. I like to service my own car but that's just me. I also have the tool,s a bit of experience and the benefit that I break something I can let the car sit in the garage for a week while I get another part and I can just drive the daily. There are some awesome workshop manuals out there that can help you figure out what you're doing too. Having said all that, a trained mechanic who knows your car will sometimes pick up stuff in a check that you yourself might miss so even if you are serviing it yourself it can't hurt to have your dealer give the car a once over every now and then.
  3. Yeah you've gotta think about the overheads in buying and selling cars before you get too carried away. When you sell a car you may have to do some work to it so you can sell it with roadworthy and reg (depends on state of course) then with another car you have all your on road costs plus anything that new car might need done to it. If you are super keen to sell then the most economical thing would be to grab an AE102 like was mentioned rather than something really new and save the rest for when you are in a better financial position and can afford to go back up market. Or... just keep the Sportivo and and drive it sensibly and maybe look to see if you can trim your budget somewhere else. I hope you're not going to uni to do finances or accounting ;) j/k good luck!
