Bought a Celica about a month ago and I'm loving it, wish I'd bought one years ago. However, I'm finding it tricky to change from 2nd to 3rd when in high lift around 7800 revs and above, most of the time I have to spend a split second finding the opening. I have no problem at all when changing up around 7000 revs. I'm also conscious of slamming it back into 1st and I don't want to do that. All the other gears are fine, am I doing something wrong when changing? I know a guy who used to have the same celica and he also had the same difficulty. Is there anybody having the same issue?
