  1. Hi all, quick question: checked my coolant levels (while the engine was cold) seems to be 1/4 of the way up in the window, and instead of being the usual pink color seems to be very dark. should i change the coolant? in the manual it says does not require more coolant unless bellow LOW. Thanks in advance guys!
  2. thanks for the replies guys only thing im worried about is, if i get a flat 300km's out from melbourne on the hume hwy, means the spare has to be able to go the distance and handle highway speeds. mello> does the nakangs have the same load rating as the turanza er30?
  3. Hi guys, I punctured one of my tyres awhile ago and it was not able to be repaired (too close to the side wall) Will be travelling long distances when i move out of melb into the country, so i figured id need a reliable spare, so i dont get stuck in the middle of nowhere. I just spoke to the guy at my local bridgestone, and the cheapest he could do for a turanza ER30 was $206 (from $240). He said it wouldnt be recommended I slap any tyre on as a spare, due to load ratings, size and such. He said the reason why it was so expensive was because the tyre is a strange size, and he even needed to order it in. What are your thoughts guys, should i stick with the turanza and pay 200 or go for a no name. thanks in advance for your replies, - austin
  4. hi jason, i've been wanting to install an aftermarket headunit really soon, and was told that the easiest way to install it would be to buy a wiring harness from super cheap auto (cost around $15-20). from what i was informed, they are make/model specific, and plug straight in, so you only have to connect up the wires to your HU, and no messing about trying to figure out what wire is what, as it is all labelled. the pro of this is that if you ever want to put the stock unit back in, it will just plug straight in. disclaimer: this is what i have been told, i have not actually gone out and tried to buy a harness, nor have i installed a HU before, still in the process of sourcing it. hope i helped =) if its wrong, disregard
  5. thanks for the quick replies guys much appreciated. My mate whos going to help me source a headunit suggested i look for something that has a RRP of around 5-600, that way it will allow me to introduce amp/sub/splits in the future when i have the funds, definately want to head towards quality instead of doof doof =) anyway thanks again guys, will be shopping tomorrow for the headunit
  6. Hi all, I've just signed up, though i have been reading the forum reguarly over the last year. I drive a 2003 sportivo, and have just started tinkering with the idea of getting some better audio into the car. After searching extensively, and not really finding out exactly what i needed, i thought id register and just ask =) 1) Due to lack of funds, I've decided to just get a decent mp3 compataible HU first, and go from there. I've been informed that super cheap auto sell wiring harnesses which will ease the installation. Question is, will the stock speakers handle the extra power from the HU? and would there be a noticible difference in audio quality (is it worth it?) 2) Also, how much have people paid for the left and right spacers? and does anyone have a part number for a compartment which would go bellow the headunit? I'm looking for one which is just a hole, where i can store my phone/wallet. Many thanks in advance for your replies :)
