Hi all, I'd like get an idea of how much the value of a car is affected if it a repairable write-off. Here's my example – Toyota Corolla '98 1.6L Hatchback, Auto, Steer, Central locking, CD player, 11 mths rego, 140,000kms, Tyres 60%, New timing belt. Overall car is in very good condition, mechanically A1. Few minor scratches here and there. Car had been hit in the rear, but car has been well repaired. My guess is the average price for this car would be $7,000 (no prior accidents). Can you guys please let me know what you think a) What you'd pay (if it wasn't a repairable write-off) b) What you'd pay – using the above description. Thanks in advance for your responses. Cheers.
