  1. Ha! seems smoked foggies arnt liked by many. Im not too keen on them either, but depends what style your going for. A "stealth" look would be good, if your car is that charcoal colour. Also, is the Talon kit fibreglass or ABS or Polyuerthane? Personally i wouldnt touch fiberglass...

I think that JDm front lip is quite nice, very "modellista" like, and a bloody good price.

Glad to be of some help.

    Hi Dutchie.

I believe the body kit that is being offered by Talon is made from ABS plastic.

Yeah mate, the pricing is very damn tempting, also in regards to the spoiler I don't think they have my colour which is "Graphite"

I noticed that they have Magnetic grey as an paint option, but I am not too sure if its the same as my "Graphite"

  2. Nice eyeliners/eyelids

    Billet Grill

(im not that much of a fan of it, but some people may be)

    Smoked Foggies

    Front lip - Japan, Polyurethane

_good price i think for poly and cheap shipping from Japan

This rear skirt is ABS should match well

    Hi Mate,

    thanks for the links.

The front lip is pretty damn good looking, definitely worth looking into since Talon don't have the XRS kit for a while.

However, I am not a big fan of smoked foggies lol.

What I am considering doing at the moment, is just to get the fog lights and spoiler done, so it looks like an Conquest, than when Talon finally get the Kits in, I will get that :)

Depending on the ETA on the kits from Talon, I might so go grab the Wheels first.

  3. Sorry about triple posting guys.

But since I can't get the body kit anytime soon due to stocking issue with Talon body Styling.

I have decided to get some fog lights for now.

I will be ordering these in a few days.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Corolla-Fog-...5#ht_2516wt_984

However I won't be installing them myself, so I was wondering who do you guys recommend in Sydney's West to get them installed by, as I don't want an dodgy install.

Also I assume any mechanic should be able to install them?

  4. No problemo.

Re the headlights, I think they are custom black headlights, you can DIY.

    See these threads here

    - i just checked the thread, seems many of the links are down.. I swear there is another thread re black headlight mod here somewhere... do a search for them.

Similar idea diff model tho here

    And here

The black headlights in the opening post are standard on the Corolla XRS in the US. To get a similar effect, you'd have to open them up and DIY. =)

Kenneth is right. You need to DIY.Ive done it to my spare set of lights but i havent started my retrofit on them so they wont be on the car for awhile cos im still gathering info on retrofitting and dont i dont have much spare time atm.

oh cool, thanks for that fella's.

May be I should buy another set of headlights so I can try DIY-ing on them, as I wouldn't want to ruined my original one

I honestly cannot wait to start this project, having said that. Unfortunately I won't be able to start anything until mid March due to money going to uni textbooks and what not.

  5. Welcome, I look forward to seeing the end result. Once my cash reserve refills from my recent turbo spend i plan to get to have a kit like the one below for mine.

I went with pedders springs. They cost me $400ish (i think was a few years back when i got them) and i fitted them myself to save on labour costs.

Lol oh nice. I will give Toyota Spare parts a call to see how much they do the TRD springs for.

By the way nice kit. But thats too over the top for me unfortunately. :toast:

I am after the more simple yet aggressive styling.

@ Juvenile, hmmm I like the lip, but I am not too sure if those would go well with the kit I wanted.

  6. Cheers mate. From what i remember the kit was about $1000 painted and delivered.its abs plastic so it doesnt feel cheap n flimsy. They do install but i decided to install it myself which saved me abit.

$1000 sounds good. Waiting on the email that I sent them.

So Wheels/Tyres + Kit is about $2500 all up which is damn good, as I was expecting to spend around 3k to 3.5k

I guess after Kits and Tyres are done I just need to get foggies which is cheap anyway.

Phat_azn, did you lower car at all? As I was considering some TRD springs, as I heard they provide a decent drop and at the same time it allows for a good level of ride comfort.

Once again mate, thanks for your help. I am currently using your car to serve as an inspiration for my own car lo. Too bad those TRD rims are a tad pricey for me lol

Which part of Sydney are you in mate? If your in the same suburb as me I will keep a look out for your Rolla.

I live around the Liverpool/Cabramatta area.

No dramas at all, glad to help.

Im lowered on Eibach prokit springs like Dutchie.I didnt look too much in the TRD springs because at the time i was looking you had to import them.

Im in the Merrylands/Granville area but i hardly trek out that way even though im Asian.lol

LOL @ the ASIAN part.... hahahaha

Lol, cool cool, I normally head down that way for uni, and also my grand parents lives around there.

    Hi mate,

Awesome, ill get in contact with Talon Body Styling for the kit.

Out of interest, how much did the kit and painting set you back? and do they do installations as well?

By the way, thats one nice looking Rolla you got there.

  9. Hey Guys,

Just after some advice and tips on doing some mods on my Graphite 09 Corolla Sedan, which I will take some photo of later.

Lol, what I noticed is there isn't much mods done on the 09 Corolla Sedan except for Shire.ZRE, its mostly the hatch around

Got this car around October last year to replace my Camry, and so far I am quite happy with it, but it does look pretty bland as I got the Ascent :whistling:

I got my eyes on a set of 17" wheels which I saw at Ozzy Tyres, I was quoted $1450 for the wheels and tyres + fitting. The wheel's are made by Lavinhard, and they are replica's

    606grey.jpg

Lastly, I would love to get the same body kit as the US Corolla XRS, as they are nice and subtle, however I have been looking every where, but can't find them at all.

So if anyone can point me into the right direction for those kits, that would be much appreciated.

I guess ultimately I want my Corolla to look like something like the photo's below.

    dscn0287l.jpg

    dscn0276i.jpg

    dscn0294df.jpg

Looking to start the whole process around mid March

Any tips or recommendations are much appreciated.

When eventually I get those mods done, I would love to take it out to one of the Sydney's meet

    Cheers,

    Jazz

  10. Nice work guys.

This looks very tempting, as I also want to replace my stock headunit.

I was wondering how good is the GPS and is it fast to find a lock? as the stock inbuilt GPS in my Dad's Toyota Camry is fantastic.

Although I already have an dedicated Mio GPS, I would prefer to have an GPS built into my dash.

Also how hard is it to get it installed?

  11. Hey Guys,

I am after some tips and advice on fixing up these 2 damn rock chips, they are around 3mm.

My Corolla is the graphite colour, so the rock chip stands out big time, and it just a sight for sore eyes.

I was provided with some touch up paint when I bought the car, and I have been reading around on the net, seems like the best way to fix these rock chip is to apply the touch up paint with a toothpick or something like that.

I know after the touch up paint have been applied it won't be perfect, but I want to get it fixed up as good as possible.

So any advice and tips is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers

  12. Hey Guys,

Been reading in this forum for a while now, but this will be my first post :)

Anyways, I am looking in to getting an 07 Corolla Ascent within the next few days or so to replace my written off Camry Vienta V6.

The Corolla will be a hatch, but what I realised, is that it only comes with steel wheel and hub caps, so the first thing I will do is to replace them with a nice set of 16" or 17" wheels.

Before replacing the wheels, what sort of stuff should I look into?

Also what sort of wheels do you guys recommend?

I guess I am working with a budget, since I am getting the Corolla in the next few days, so a set of wheels with tyres for under $1000 would be good, but I assume that would be a pretty hard task?

Any advice or tips is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cheers
