  1. Thanks for the replies guys. I will definitely change the p/s fluid this weekend. Hope that makes it a little lighter. I've got 205/55 on stock 15 inch alloys. When I say 'so much heavier' it's only by about 25-30% heavier than the civic. I don't think the pump's leaking and it's not making any noises. I'll get a mechanic to check it out though. OFFTOPIC: Where can I find a shop in Sydney that stocks exhausts for the 91 SX celica? I'm thinking mainly axleback but might do the complete exhaust if funds allow.
  2. Hey guys and gals, Just a quick question, are Celicas with power steering usually harder to steer than other cars with power steering? I noticed this when I first bought the car but didn't think it was an issue, when i compared it with my mate's civic today, it felt so much heavier. Even his dad asked why my steering was so heavy. Is it a problem with the P/S system or do celicas just have heavier steering? BTW the car's a 91 SX Cheers
  3. Ok guys, I got the headunit installed but the speakers are too big to fit in the existing speaker hole. The Celica spakers are on the dash area, next to the glovebox and steering column, so I can't even cut it to make it fit. Is there another way to fit them?
  4. Well that's good to know! I shall attempt with a mate on Saturday. Thanks guys!
  5. Yeah the one I'm thinking about buying has MOSFET. I've installed a tacho before, is this any harder lol? Cheers
  6. Hey guys, I've got the stock headunit and speakers in my car right now and I'm thinking of replacing them with a set of basic Pioneer speakers and headunit. I'm just wondering if I'll need an amplifier as well? And usually how much does installation cost? Cheers
  7. Well it's idling at 800-900rpm so I don't think that's the problem. It vibrates even when I'm in neutral so I duno.... I'll take it to a mechanic soon and get the verdict. I'll ask him about the ISC and timing and all that. Thanks guys
  8. Alright then, I'll try the razor but I don't exactly have a steady hand lol Thanks guys
  9. Hey guys, I just bought a Celica SX and it vibrates like crazy. So far I've only noticed it when I'm idling. When I'm behind a car with my lights on, I can see the light beam shaking. It's getting quite annoying and in peak hour traffic, I might go INSANE! Anyone know what might be causing it?
  10. Hey guys, New to the Toyota scene, just bought myself a 91 Celica SX and I wanna remove the FOR SALE sign that's written in liquid paper on my window. How do you go about doing that? I've tried sponge and water and it's completely ineffective. I don't want to use a razor blade because I got a feeling I'll scratch the window. HELP! Thanks in advance.
