Chatter box would be a good inclusion to spice up the club a bit similar to chatter box on OZMPS,
that way members can talk to each other about anything, car related or not and can only be seen by members it's very popular, interactive and fun on OZMPS.

Wow 10 years is good, after my sportivo got written off , with the insurance I bought an Mazda 3 MPS , great cars and highly tuneable ,and also 6 MPS are weapons too and very cheap u can pick them up for about $16000 with under 80000 km.
Stock a 6 mps can launch in under 6 sec flat
My MPS has 200kw ATW and it can be achieved with very little mods too its a nice upgrade to the sportivo I assure u

Brakes and coil overs already done as for 20 percent numbers dynomotive running a twin mapped unichip showing 18 percent tourqe and power on the dyno before the exhaust
Whats your before and after dyno figures?
-
Thanks all
Headers on the way and retune numbers up to 20 percent it's on the way still suffering flat spot but no worries when driving her right looking into charger but would like to stay NA. Maybe a rebuild after some more sideways action.
I think 20% increase is a bit optamistic for a N/A car, 10% max is a bit more realistic,MRT,Tunehouse, and V sport with tune, headers, induction, exhaust got no more than 111kw ATW which was less than 10% gain and they are the pros in the industry, your probably better to put your coin into handiling and brakes.
i would be interested to see what gains you get on the dyno.
-
At the hot tuner challenge out of the 86 and brz 111kw was the highest recorded thats with exhaust, tune etc

When i had my sportivo my CES CAI did jack all as well, if you take the stock snorkel out of the stock airbox and replace with a KN panel filter filter it will give you the same kw as CAI it was proven on the dyno back in the day,i had CAI,CES headers and catback and i think i only gained 13kw ATW alot of money spent for minimal gain, there are minimal gains with N/A cars ,you get bigger gains with turbo cars my current MPS gained 28kw ATW and60NM with just a tune alone at a fraction of the cost.
Even in turbo cars CAI and SRI make no gains only Noise.

I've raced a few dc2's and won, dc3 on the other hand, up to about 80km/h is the same then it leaves me in it's dusts
You must have raced an Accord or the driver off the DC2 was crap,DC2 are 133kg lighter and have LSD

:help: :help:
Hey guys,
Today I had an adventure to the gold coast.
The weather was fine until we hit the rain on the way, Was incredibly heavy, I couldn't see the tail lights of the person in front of me. :o
I'm guessing that this rain was the explanation to the water in my tail light.
Ive taken a video so that you can all see, Ive explained it all there.
common problem, tail light seals stuffed i got quoted by Toyota $350 for a new tail light part only.
If you could please tell me how to remove the light so that I can get the water out, that would be GREATLY appreciated.
Branno.

I use Chemical Guys stuff, highly recomended on all the car detailing forums. Most profesionals dont touch Mothers etc.Once you use chemical Guys stuff you will never go back to mothers or Meguiars.

I wonder if quicker than my sportivo when done?
I would say yes. If your still in Canberra i wouldnt mind meeting up. I dont know any Toyota fans here? If so PM me. maybe we could compare the cars and really find out which is quicker. :-)

hey guys just curious what would win??
everyone i have asked said lancer:(
please...a more fairer match would be corolla levin vs lancer vrx... why do people "under rate" the corolla sportivo...
my 2 cent
Dont worry everyone not quicker than our sportivo it took me till 80kmh to catch a vrx sportback,I crunched 1st gear badly.once i hit lift in 2nd it was goodbye vrx.

just dropping my 2c worth ;)
on the rear i had the genuine pads on my car for about 4-5 yrs before they needed to be replaced ..... i then got a pair of the trd's and they didnt last longer than 18mths ...... im actually now running a bendix setup cant remember which series it was but it wasnt their oem replacements one of their performance lines so ill see how long that lasts ..... i was going to go with the oem setup but the guys didnt have any in stock so had to go for an alternative. Until i see how well these bendix's go i'd be sticking with the oem gear.
although the rears dont do a lot of work dont forget the brakes are whats going to save u in the event of an incident so dont go tight on something to save ur life ;)
farrr 18 months til ur rears die... i can imagine how many u go thru with the fronts before changing the rears???? :P :P :P
I got over 200000 ks on my 2000 corolla before changing my pads.

Had an uneven rolling sound at the front of the car and suspecting it was the tires i changed them.
The problem remained and frustrated i took it down to Pedders for a 28 point safety test .
The result : Drivers side Front bearing needs replacement.
Called around for the bearing .
Toyota : $150
AutoPro : $167
Bursons: $115
Supercheap : Dont stock it.
Autobarn : $85
Supply and Fit :
Midas $320
Ultratune $300
Does anyone know if the ZZE122 and ZZE123 use the same wheel bearing?
Cant get over the Autobarn price unless its not for the Sportivo and is for ZZE122 .
To avoid ordering the incorrect part i need help in knowing if they use diff bearings .
Dont trust pedders 28 point safety test, it was on Today Tonight as a big scam.
took the car to repair place today and the guy test drove the car , he said it wasnt too bad and that he could hardly hear the bearing .. Suggested to me to drive around till the noise got louder and it was easier to pick exactly which wheel was making the sound and that way the correct bearing gets replaced (Correct side ie).So for now he said dont worry about it.
About Pedders
Funny because i was the one who told the pedders bloke i had a rolling sound coming from my side and they had the car for 2 hrs performing a $14 test .I wasnt too impressed as i was still in the office waiting for my lift and 10 mins later heard someone hooning around in my car , i didnt think that was a necessary manner to perform the check.I know it probably has to be test driven but i bet it doesnt have to be rev'd over 4K revs.I was tempted to tell whoever the driver was at the time off but it was going to be my loss so i bottled it instead.
The service i got from them was poor and not welcoming.
All this said , i'm wont be a little bit suprised if you are 100% correct about Pedders being shonky (alteast with the 28 point check anyway)
Who tests the car for 2 hrs and only charges $14 ... P
Today Tonight took a perfectly good car which was checked over by RACV and a dealer to cofirm all was ok to 4 different pedders dealers for a 28point check check, pedders quoted up to $2000 for repairs that didnt exist.Beware
