  1. @deafdave.......................Straight pipes are fairly cheap to fabricate, i wouldn't pay anything more than what i did
anyways hit "Joondalup Exhaust and Brakes" - very friendly, quick, with moderate pricing

    as for the headunit........
took me ages to find one with a nice classy user interface
anyways.... i got it down from $580 something
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150974230717?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_10897wt_1397

note: 1. my unit made a 5-10mm gap between itself and the aircon vents
    2. its very hard to find a professional who willing to install it, let alone for the right price (got charged like $150 so i installed myself)
    3. all steering wheel controls are functional.

i might upload a video of the headunit interface.

  2. i'll try some day pics soon aha
yess very easy to install, right from trim removal to connecting all wires (pretty much like lego)

however i didnt connect the digital tv / reverse camera (don't need)

That's a nice lookin HU mate good job , what it set you back?

    $520
user interface is very nice compared to some other head units i came across

  3. sounds awesome, hope there is adecent power gain after a new tune, otherwise all that work was pretty pointless when you could acheive and even better sound with just straight pipes

Nothing sounds worse imo than a straight thru on any car Alonso. Cheap and nasty.

Love to get a listen from the outside Scott. maybe a take off vid?

straight pipes from where it splits into two, not the whole thing aha

  4. @ happ-chap...... ive only recently installed my new wheels (10 inch rear), however there is noticeable camber on rear wheels (without any camber adjustment) and i do expect more wear on the rears.

On another note, i have just installed straight pipes
    SOUNDS AMAZING
will post pics + vid shortly

  5. Look lets get realistic, how on earth can a front bumper cost more than a set of four TRD wheels......

It's not Toyota, its AUSTRALIAN TOYOTA
dealt with toyota in Europe, cheap as chips

Ps. Seller is asking for $1,750 for Front TRD Bumper..... out of my LOGICAL price range, so if anyone is interested, pm me :P

  6. Funny you mention that Alonso, I was just wondering how hard it would be to "cut and shut" these bumpers to our aurions. Anyone have expertise in the panelwork industry?

ahaha me too! would be so expensive to do so :/

Honestly if the aurion was AWD or RWD...... i'd go all out on engine upgrades, v6 toyotas are just mint.

    mannn..... looks like a turbooo

  7. nah this guy wrecking a trd aurion, said Toyota sells the front bumper for $4,200.......... guys crazy imo......4,200 would be like for the entire body kit....even then its way way too much.

i offered him $850 for it considering it has a crack and needs alot of repair ahahahhaa f@ck so frustrating.

  8. Mate the wheels and tyres just look all wrong only my opinion

I agree...might look better once its dumped but i'm pretty sure she will scrub with 20's and that width on the rear,i'm running 19x9 245 allround with camber & castor kits and coilovers and I can't get it any lower than it is without scrubbing ...good luck mate, look forward to seeing the finish product.

p.s no malice intended just my opinion, also the 255 or 265 on the rear is interesting as I've been thinking of upping to this next tyre change.

no i definitely agree, i know im going to need to camber the rears along with guard work...... but hey nothing good comes easy...

Its all about dat PHAT STANCE ;)

  9. HSD coilovers should arrive sometime next week, definitely will need to roll and flare rear guards -.-......... but ill get it as low as possible and source guard work from a mate :) :)

ooooo they look real smiCK mate

well done and all the best if yu doppin her

    cheers cam :)

ps did the wheel n tyre package cost a lot and were both sauced from the us ?

i'd say average..... i had vossen cv7 wheels in mind but these were slightly cheaper and looked the part :)

    rims from usa
tires were too dear locally, especially for falkens!!!!
so got all four for $1030.00 @ozzywheels australia........ instead of like $1,600 locally LOL (everything is a rip off in perth -.-)

Off looks wicked, do you scrub at all on the rears?

    20x10 40+ , offset is pretty high

yes, had some trouble fitting them on actually!
used a 12mm spacer and longer studs!!!!

took it for a super aggressive ride, no rubbing at all!!!!
    even on speed bumps,
atm my entire suspension is stock, so ill keep you informed as i lower it in the following weeks

Thanks for all the feed back guys :P
ill keep youse all up to date !!

ps. falken tires are the way to go, especially for low profile, air ride technology makes it so quiet to drive on the hwy :))

  11. I got back to the yard today after work, got in my car and as i was driving out the gate i heard a noise from the LHF wheel so got out had a look and bugger me dead i've got another puncture, found a flat square piece of steel with a welded screw in the middle stuck right in the middle of my tread.

this is some sort of record for me,i'm upto 5 punctures in 2010 almost one a month, had 3 on the Aurion and 2 on the work Hilux. :(

once again i will say....I FREAKIN HATE WORKING/DRIVING IN INDUSTRIAL AREAS so much crap on the roads

haha, bl, have you considered that maybe people are placing these things under your car whilst it's parked?
