Someone solid fill their rear engine mounts and see if it solves the problem. DO IT, DO ITTT!!
I've been in a number of cars with slight grinding problems, shifting problems. I had a FWD Turbo Pulsar pumping 161.8FWKW and axle tramp/torque steer was it's best friend. I managed to slap in any gear no matter where I was bouncing on the road after I had installed my solid rear mount :D Also, a 180sx, s15 and 350z - friends and I had the engine dampening kits on and it solved almost all problems with mis-shifting in high RPM.
For the people without stuffed syncros as of yet, it's a good prevention method.
-
Coming from a high-powered FWD car, I've noticed that engine movement in the high RPMs can cause issues with shifting.
Would definitely recommend people look in to getting their rear engine mounts solid filled to reduce this problem.

Optimax vs BP Ultimate vs regular

Aurion + Yaris = .........
.....UGLY :P didn't see that one coming did you?

I would've went silver.
The darker rims disappear into the car.
Looks ok though.

I'm in Chester Hill. Use to be 10 minutes away from the Villawood Maccas meet.
I've got an exam on Monday so can't make it :P
I'll be at the next Villawood Maccas meet though? hopefully?

Zaino FTW~!

Thanks guys.
My car definitely looks a part from the rest of the Corollas out there - rofl.

After I recently sold my turbo converted N15 Pulsar - I decided to replace it with a stock-as-a-rock 04 Toyota Corolla beast.
It originally came with yellow number plates but my first mod was to replace them with standard white plates to better suit the colour of the car.
Future mods:
- Polarg 4300K Halogen Bulbs
- Zaino wax job
- 35% tint all around
Possibly considering (not worthy) mods:
- 17" wheels
- D2/G4 Coilovers

Man, you guys get 450km+ ?
I'm happy if I get to 400k.
I've got a 04 Corolla hatch?
Should I get it checked out?
When I go to fill up I usually get till up around 35L?
Does that mean I've atleast another 20L to use as the red light comes on?
-
I'd say it'd definitely be able to get into the 13 sec 1/4 mile bracket.
Just gotta be careful whether the gearbox can take it or not.

Managed to get my cd player decoded for $30 at Western Toyota.

17/18" Rims. Coils - slam it.
Done. Easy :P
Do realise that while Diamond Visions give off a 'prettier' light they give less light intensitiy/visibility than the Blue Visions. Also, have a look at these for an alternative (they're 4300K - right in the sweet spot) - LINK

Depends on if a PIN has been set. If not, you're fine. If so, yea it will ask for a PIN when your battery is disconnected.
-
depends on which corolla the thread starter is talking about? stivo is going to be expensive, standard rolla should be cheap.
when i was looknig for a new engine i did come accross one gearbox 2nd hand, at the price they were asking you may as well get the kazz/c-one box... -
Maybe try a second hand gearbox from the wreckers? Probably the cheaper auction and I'm sure they're not too hard to come by.
-
Mofos! I just called up Toyota service and they quoted $49.95 just to unlock the PIN. :o
-
Do you know if they charge anything?
I read somewhere that they charge $20?
-
Hi guys,
I recently purchased a 04 Corolla. At the moment the CD player is security locked and I wasn't given a code.
I have the log books but it doesn't seem to be specified in it? What do I do?
Thanks,
Andrew

Custom black headlight surrounds gotta be one of the best visual mods
Black headlight surrounds - How'd you do it? was it hard?

Hey,
I'm looking into buying a 05 model Corolla soon. Just wondering if you guys are still having issues with idling/surging etc?
Is it a major concern? I'm looking to get a new car for reliability and no headaches but if this is a major issue then I may have to reconsider.
-
They are ok. They did my exhaust and a few of my friends as my friend use to work there as well. Not the best but does the job, lol.

Saw a white Yaris sedan at Peter Warren motors. At first when I saw it from the front I thought it was a Mazda sp23 because of the similar grill. This sedan already had a set of aftermarket 17" chromies on it, lol.

hahaha, true. Guess there's always gotta be some idiots.. I won't do it again :P
Nice meeting you guys.
It would have been better if morons who are totally unafiliated with us would stop rocking up and doing burnouts in the car park...or testing their handbrake....
idiots....that kind of behaviour attracts police.

Don't bother wasting money on power. If this was the case you should have chosen a better platform to start off with.
Definitely go with an audio install
anywhoo... first mod is a drop in aftermarket panel filter.
