  1. Many thanks Woodsie - Will take it to dealer as is under W'ty. Cheers -Nick
  2. Hello out there, I am interested to know if anyone other than I have experienced the following; Firstly, Ute details:- Toyota, Hilux, 2008, 4x4, 3.0lt TD, KUN26R, Extra Cab, HD Alloy tray [2100mm long x 1800mm wide], Standard 205 R16 rims with Cooper ATR 225/75/16. When in Low Range, 3rd, gear climbing, a fairly steep slope, on loose gravel track, sharp turn hard left or hard right lock, swapping from 3rd to 2nd very quickly to maintain revs and momentum, synchromesh is too slow and gears grate....so.... then have to quickly swap from 2nd to 1st and same crunching happens. Bear in mind that I am only doing 2,000 to 2,500 rpm at the time of the change down – also – this has happened from pre 10,000kms [now done 30,000km]. ALSO When stationary, push clutch to the floor and select 1st or reverse quickly – clutch seems slow & box will engage with a notching sound and feel – to the point that if on level ground and no brakes the ute will rock forward, even if I repeat the action over and over. Any thoughts out there are welcomed please. Cheers -Nick
  3. Sorry can't really help much other than to say if you get HDL tray then watch rear end in the wet or non firm surfaces...might overtake the cab - with the greatest of ease. Also - the newer common rail diesel has plenty of poke & gutsy down low..... will put a hole in yr pocket too. Best of luck. Cheers - Nick.
  4. Hello there, I thought this might be the best place to check what others may be experiencing with the same vehicle so here I am. Not posing my story right now as this spot is for intro. Best I tell what I have [below] & some more. I hope to head to the top end of WA again as this was the highlight of a round Aussie trip I did in 2006, that time with a mate in his L/R TD5i. I will have to fit out my Ute with better undercarriage gear + long range tanks + new rims and tyres. So, the specs are:- Toyota, Hilux, 2008, 4x4, 3.0lt TD, KUN26R, Extra Cab, HD Alloy tray [2100mm long x 1800mm wide], Standard 205 R16 rims with Cooper ATR 225/75/16 Cheers -Nick
