Hey guys...
Parked at my gf's place early sat morning on the street at about 12:30am NYE only to find out in the morning that someone has once again reversed into my car with a towbar and drove off... this has been the 3rd time someone has done this (im onto my 3rd drivers door) and will be the 3rd time getting fixed!!! argh...

this time however, they drove into my front bumper on the drivers side so i think i just need a new bumper and front kit. would anyone be able to suggest a place where i can get a silver bumper in sydney for cheap?? i dont really want to claim again...

hmmm... its cos im young i have to pay so much for greenslip... about 570 then rego is 250... good news i got comprehensive insurance for really cheap this year... almost 400 cheaper than i did when i first bought my car... ive got 2 new doors too... lol ;)

Hey... anyone know which company is cheap to get CTP greenslip? ive been quoted like $567... soo expensive cos insurance is coming around at same time... grrr

I went yesterday as well, dirty black corolla levin wagon with one foglight missing.
it was stinking hot...i only managed a 1:19.4 in the practice sessions in the morning but had fun the rest of the day.
what sort of tyres were you using?
haha nah man u fly... saw u last time in ur black wagon... ur whole back tyres are lifting off the ground... haha thats driving hard... haha
yeh was so hot... hopefully next time can try and get low 17's or maybe 16's heheh
was just using potenza GIII's.. they were absolutely hammered by the end of the day... had huge chunks missing and crackin on left front cos of all the hard rights on the track... coming into that first corner... scary hehe ur names vincent yeh?

hey guys... went to track again and took the sportivo for a nice run on a circuit club trackday... variety of cars there including a e55 AMG, done up s15's, many integra dc2R's and other various cars...
managed to pull a 1:19 flat on my first lap... we had official timing so yeh was pretty happy because the best i could do before was a 1:21
best time i had was 1:17:797.. came 14th on the day... very happy that i got in the 17's... i was trying all day! haha
well goes to show that sportivo rims are friggin heavy! my new lightweight rims make so much difference

Thanx to all the posted topics on this forum, I managed to get my service done properly this time with all the necessary fixes, specially the clutch and sticky gear lever issues. Before this I couldn't land in lift for 1st or 2nd gear without grinding myself a new set of teeth on each, and that seems to be sorted perfectly now.
I can manage to land in lift for 1st just above 6700rpm, and then get a schweet tug and squeel from the tyres which is something awesome to experience for the first time after only seeing other people doing it...! :D
Thanx to all those who put their effort into mentioning the issues here, I'll definately send the other RunX/Stivo and T-sport owners here for advice.
I'm in love with my car all over.

without those fixes cant u land in lift from 1st to 2nd? i cant seem to do it...

yeh im lookin for a CAI as well.. dunno if i should get the TRD one cos i know u have to spend even more to change the pod filter...
what other brands are out there and if they all do the same job which one is best value for money?
im in sydney so yeh... please give me some numbers of places where u found CAI kits

Well all you need to do next with those.. get lighter tyres.. I like the GIII but they are a heavy tyre...
Since the rims are only like 6kg per corner.. Things to consider to further accel is to replace front rotors with light weight ones.. DBA 5000 slotted 2 piece would be nice!!! they are sooo light..
and the other parts i was talking about yesterday :) shhhhhh

yeh but the tyres are awesome... compared to crappy stock ones... umm yeh getting my chip upgraded on friday from the recall... hehe cant wait.. should be more powerful again!! :P :P

hey just got some new rims for my car... 16x7 rota slipstream lightweight... got potenza gIII's on it...
quicker pickup and power delivery cos they weigh so much less than stock rims..
also easier turning...

those times are abit slow
i think its coz it only includes the first session where people still warming up and getting used to the track.

might give better indication! nice times nonetheless, for comparison's sake, my friend angelo in his stockasarock EK4/civic hatch vtir also did 1:21 on yoko a539's!
yeh that was only the first session... after that my car couldnt hack it anymore and kept cutting out at crucial moments... so sad...

A 1min21 ain't bad at all, a Wheels mag in 1999 tetsted a Celica and they ran a 1min21 and that's a pro driving it. The DC2 Type-R in that comparo did a 1min18, Civic Vti-R 1min23, Pug Gti 1min23, Pulsar SSS 1min24, Proton Satria Gti 1min24. Tuned turbo cars and prestige cars are out of our leaque, maybe a stock WRX and Type-R would be fun to run against.
How did you go against the S2000 T-sport?
A Stivo did 1min21 yesterday at Wakefield and the fastest car was an Sti that did 1min17. Too bad we couldn't get actual lap times today but the day was great and i can now pinpoint the Sportivo's weaknesses and work on improving the car :)

Howd i go against the s2000? well the driver was an old guy... so yeh he wasnt going that hard... he only got fastest 1:22 i think... so yeh... im sure that car can do 1:16-1:17 easy... really a pro did 1:21 in a celica? hahaha mad... next trackday i gotta aim for 1:20 and beat that pro :P

Well done impressive performance against some other (faster cars). Your fastest time was on your last lap - does that mean you are still improving with room to get faster.
Well the first few laps i didnt get such a good time because of other cars in front... i was caught up behind a s2000 and overtook him near the end of the session... then i was able to go harder to try and get a fast lap time... i dunno about my tyres though... once they heat up they get pretty damn spongey and the car is all over the place... hehe
LSD would really help aswell as the inside tyres are spinning like crazy in the hairpins and i cant put the power down.

Hey guys... was at wakefield park on labour day for a day at the track. We had official lap timing that day so it was a good day to see how fast you could go around the track.

Only disappointing thing however was my car cutting out at like 5000rpm for a second after some corners or during some corners... xtigerx and influx were there also on the day but they didnt drive on the track but they said that this was probably due to the oil temp overheating... i've never experienced this before and it was quite annoying when i wanted to go for my fastest lap time... anyways... still pulled a 1:21.029 which isnt bad considering how difficult i find it to stay in lift...
have to wait till next trackday to get in the 1:20 mark..

yeh that belongs to me... actually there are 2 silver ones... mine which is lowered and another one which isnt... mine has a huge dent though in the drivers door

man ive never parked anywhere unsafe... this time i had a 21st party to attend so i parked like 30 seconds away from bar cleveland.. off a main rd etc.. brightly lit area... come back to my car and its screwed...
police didnt say anything... cant do anything about it... basically its just to report it for statistics about crime in the area.
cant believe ill be getting a 3rd door

got quotes today... looks like its the same amount of damage... about $1200... i cant afford this and my insurance company excess is tough as well... i think i have to leave it how it is... im thinking of getting rid of this car now... all ive had is badluck with it :(

I don't believe this... it was only just about 1 month ago when my car was reversed into... and last night after going to my mate's 21st party and returning to my car i found my door had been smashed in again. At first i thought it was from someone reversing into it but then there were no driveways... then me and my mates noticed that there was spit on my car as well as a footprint where the door was pushed in...
parked in surry hills corner of cleveland st and bourke... i feel as if im just getting bad luck with this car... :(
My car was only just fixed less than a month ago from the first incident where my door was smashed in... and now again... my insurance company will never want to insure me again... wait till they hear that the same thing happened again.... :(

no this was out of the norm... normally i park in my garage at home... but because it was NYE i was going to stay at my gf's place... so on the one time i go there and stay over it happens.. same with the other times.. they were both once off places
anyone help on places with parts???
