  1. hi all,

moving off topic (again), just got my new kluger a couple of days ago. Very happy.

Can anybody recommend a dealer/service centre in the northern suburbs?

I go my Kluger throught a fleet purchase from a dealer in Geelong. Not planning to drive down for every service!

I used to live in canberra so I haven't actually used a dealer here, just melbourne city toyota once for my camry. I heard Cannon Toyota is good?

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    David

  2. Hi all,

received deliverey of my KX-S yesterday. Extremely happy. Now looking for some more extras:

    1. Cargo Mat (ebay seems the best option)

    2. Horns

    3. Spot lights

    4. Roof pod?

Looking forward to the new experience and contribution to this forum!

  3. Where have you bought your mat? I've seen on ebay at 80$ (plus 18.50$ postage i item 280490174544). The dealer asked $107 - part in stock.

Is the one on ebay an original toyota part?

tempted to pay the extra just to get the item straight away.

  4. Be aware that there are several other forum posts with people stating that they upgraded to the Toyota genuine unit as sold in the KX-S costing them around $800 and they wish they had their money back.

I thought KX-R and KX-S shared the same unit. Or are you referring to the Grande? I honestly think an aftermarket unit will be better than the genuine toyota (Grande)

  5. How are you guys? I just want to ask if the sound system in any kx-r is upgradeable. I want to change mine with sony head unit, anyone?

and also how to remove it.

    Cheers,

    leahcim :)

    Hi leahcim,

I suggest have a look at this thread:

I'm going for the same flyaudio unit. I've seen it installed and it looks perfect. You will even find the reseller details there. I've seen other threads where someone (can't remember who) bought a similar unit on ebay and it broke short after. I think he lost his money!

    Good luck

  6. Hi all,

I'm about to sign for a new Kluger KX-S AWD (jan-2010)with the following extras:

    nudge bar

    side steps

    front & rear sensor parking

    window tint

    metallic paint

    mudflaps front & rear

    Rails & racks

    price: ~ 55800 drive away.

    sounds good?

  7. Hi All,

making up my mind between a Kluger KX-S and Mazda CX-9 Luxury

Usage: mainly onroad, a lot of driving interstate, but on hwys most of the time. Casual off road (I'm inclined to say no offroad, but once I have the car, I'll probably do some but nothing extreme). Might do towing but rare, I don't even have a trailer to tow.

I like the Mazda features: memory seats, 3rd row split, sunroof, etc. but I consider toyota more reliable. I definitely like the radio upgrade Hado has done to his Kluger, which is something I'll definitely do.

In terms of price they are very close (toyota Rec delivery price ~61600. mazda RDP 63000).

So basically, to all of you owners, why should I choose the Kluger over the CX-9?

  8. Hi all, quite new here but reading the posts for a while. I'm close to make a decision on buying a Kluger....(or a CX-9?)

I was a little scared that the LEDs would not look great with the existing headlights which are still factory bulbs but to be honest I quite like the contrast in yellow headlights and white parkers....

Can you post a photo with the lights on to see the contrast of the LED and the standard lights?

Mine both blown since the thread started. So they don't last forever. At least you can buy them single unit @ Autobarn for the same price getting 2.

How long do the bulbs lasted?

    Thanks,

    Calichin
