hey
Ive got ZRE152 hatch front and rear shocks. no springs.
Im in Sydney.
PM me if youre interested.
cheers
-
Hi Seng
They will fit perfectly.
I was a little concerned the front struts may not fit but everything bolted up fine.
You need to use the original strut top mounts and the rubber spring seats from your old struts but it all fits into the Bilstein struts perfectly.
With the rear shocks there is a rubber boot you need to swap over and again fits onto the new shocks fine.
Bit hard to see the struts/shocks without removing the wheel but here are some photos on my 2012 ZRE152 Hatch.
Cheers

Hey all,
Just wanted to share some info re Bilstein shocks and the ZRE152 Corolla Hatch
Ive just replaced my standard front struts and rear shocks with Bilstein B4 struts and shocks.
I found the standard shocks, especially the front too soft both in compression and rebound damping.
The Bilsteins are way better. Hard to quantify but a vast improvement.
Having used KYB & Koni before i thought I would like to go for Koni but found the Bilsteins at a very good price from an online shop in Germany. www.rexbo.eu
I checked the Bilstein website http://www.bilstein.de/en-uk/products/search-service/online-catalogue/
(listed as Toyota Auris) and the part numbers are :
Front Left 22-168337 Quantity: 1 (79.80 Euro)
Front Right 22-168344 Quantity: 1 (79.80 Euro)
Rear 19-168210 Quantity: 2 (55 x 2 = 110 Euro)
Shipping to Australia 65 Euro
Converted to Aussie dollars and shipping came to a total of $514.11.
Shipping took about 2 weeks.
I was quoted $622 for fronts only from an Australian retailer.
I would recommend these over any other brand and they fit perfectly.
The hardest part with fitting the fronts is removing the front wiper motor and support panel.
The rears require you to unbolt the plastic tray around the spare wheel.
The fronts took about 4 hours total doing it by myself, the rears about 3 hours.
There is a step by step guide to the fronts on Toyota Nation here :
Thanks

apparently there's an amplifier built in to the antenna base on ZZE corollas
it needs 12 v
the radio doesnt work that well without the power.
-
i should try that with my Draper tool

When you remove the old CD Player you will see there is a thin wire next to the antenna wire.
The blue thin wire coming from the new antenna adapter needs to be connected to the thin wire going to the antenna.
The antenna adapter should look like the one below.
Hope that makes sense

08 prado is plug and play. It fits in the hole perfectly. The speaker and power connections are the same.
I'm not sure whether you need the antenna adapter or not.
The old style plug is round and about 8 mm diameter.
The new style plug is rectangular.
The adapter is about $15 on eBay. The antenna lead plugs into it then it plugs into the headunit.

I've bought a 10 pack and they fit no problem. They're made for the 2zr fe motor.
Compare it side by side with locally bought and they're definitely identical.
Both made in Thailand and come with the O ring.
Cheers

if you want cheap genuine filters for the 2ZR-FE motor buy them from the US on Ebay.
way cheaper than Toyota dealer in OZ.
10 filter for about $80 shipped !!!

better off buying a late model Corolla stereo, plug and play except for antenna adapter required.
they come with bluetooth and voice activation, MP3/WMA, USB
look on Ebay
or
Touch Screen unit
cheers

yep 2008 Prado stereo will fit, plug and play.
they're called a "double din" size
will fit all corolla ZZE or ZRE

Have you looked in the Owners Manual ?
Should have a diagram in there showing you where all the fuses are.
Doesnt sound right that there is no fuse for the Left Front Window.

Hey laqker06,
Go Genuine.
I bought this one from the UK on Ebay too and it wont fit over the black plastic holder.
Seller refunded me the money which was cool.
Genuine cost me about $33 (trade price) from Toyota.
Fits perfect.
It has a 1/4 inch drive so you need a 1/4 inch ratchet handle or adapter.

Hi all,
I was looking to upgrade the headunit in my 2005 Corolla with a 2013 Corolla headunit (not the reverse camera one).
I was wondering if anyone had done this before, or weather it is possible.ie. will the headunit fit size wise and will I need to modify the wiring. If the 2013 unit is to difficult to fit, which year model headunit will fit straight into the 2005
I have looked at headunits in car audio shops and I don't like any of them, plus I prefer the genuine look.
Any help would be great,
Cheers
Scott
Yep Ive done it and it fits like a glove.
Plug and play except for the Antenna wire.
You need to get an adapter for the old Style ZZE antenna to match the new style connector.
The antenna also needs 12Volts running to it so you have to join the adapter to the old wiring harness with scothlocks or solder.
Get the adapter on Ebay :

have someone hold the outer end so the shaft is level, then get a drift and big hammer and knock the inner cv out of the box.
It can be hard to get a good angle on it due to the north south subframe.
Thanks mate, i'll try this way.
Super Dave you're right there aint a lot of room in tere to get a good angle.
Cheers !

Stick with name brands. Philips or JW Speaker and you'll be fine.
Check out Blingworks for genuine LEDs.
