  1. Thanx 1zz, it should be the rod since that is how it is on our side of the world. The rod does a little bending in the middle towards the driver. That can be fixed with a little torching or chpping and welding:-)
  2. Thanx Danthuyer. The only option we have for a short shfiter is just a shortened shifter here in the states that requires installation of the rod in to the cradle as you call it. I was refering to the cradle as a base, but cradle is a much better word:-D We are trying to avoid this and get a true Short Shift kit such as the TRD option, but unfortunately TRD isn't being very helpful in figuring out if it will in fact fit our car. I know it is only four bolts and could probably be modified if it wasn't exact in distance between the bolts, but if you could help us out and call your local parts dealer and have them do a quick search/reference it would be very helpful:-D
  3. Hi, i'm new to the forum, but i am a very active member in the US with several other Toyota forums. We are trying to figure out if the TRD Quick Shift kit for the ZZE-123 Corolla Sportivo will fit our US Version Corollas which are basically ZZE-130 Corolla Altis, but we do not have access to part numbers for either car since the Sportivo and Altis are not US sold cars. I have tried a couple Aussie based car dealerships to no avail. I was hoping someone on this forum would have the knowledge to let us know if the Plastic base for the Shifter was the same Part Number for both models. I know the Sportivo is a 6 speed and the Altis is only a 5 speed at best, but this should not matter as our Corollas have both 6 and 5 speed models and both use the same shifter base and have the same part number. The gates that control the shifter are in the transmission itself, which i'm sure you know. Can someone please help us out and look up these two different car models part at your local parts dealer let me know if they are the same part number? Thank you
