  1. I got 4 Bridgestone 245/55R19 103S Dueler D400 for my KX-S from Tempe Types for $280 each fitted and balanced last Nov.
  2. 3-y extended warranty costs $1,540 according to my record. Did you negotiate much? Perhaps you bought it from a dealer that had already met their yearly targets. You can do the math; 48000 (KXR with 7 seats) 150 (weather shields) 800 (nudge bar) 900 (side steps) 150 (mud guards) 450 (reverse sensors) 100 (cargo mat) 100 (carpet mats) 100 (window tint) 1000 (paint protection) 600 (warranty) -not sure of this price. just guessing. Total: 52350 So you saved about $4000 from full RRP. Never mind the price now.. enjoy the car, its a great one! p.s. The prices I mentioned were around June/July 2010, so I'm assuming the prices might be a little cheaper now as the facelift is coming next month.
  3. I have a KX-S 2010 model. I would like to change the door unlock function, i.e. hold either front door handle to unlock all doors. According to the manual, pages 34 to 35, it requires Step 1, Turn the "Engine start stop" switch OFF. KX-S doesn't have smart engine start function. So I ignored step 1 and followed step 2, try to press unlocking button on remote key while pressing locking button for 5 seconds. But nothing happened. I am wondering whether KX-S has such the function.
  4. that's interesting.. NRMA quoted me much more than you and your KXS is a more expensive vehicle. Just checked my policy. There is one item called as years of insurance discount ($300). I think its just the Suburb that is making the most difference. I've been recently shopping for insurance for my other car; I know of someone who is two suburbs away also in the inner west, but is paying $700 less than I am. That is going through the same insurance company, same car, same year model, similar age and driving history (both excellent driving record). Its amazing how much difference a suburb can make to your premium.. you'd almost think car theives aren't mobile and can't get around to neighbouring suburbs or something!! I think so. I did research in the past for same model (a medium-size car) by changing suburb only. Interestingly to see one suburb getting $100 less than surrounding suburb. But the premium is also depends on car model and age. The quote for my old car (market value < $10k) is much higher than my Kluger.

  6. For my KX-S AWD 2010, I am paying $1,115 through NRMA. Both drivers over 30, 5+ experience, no accident history Inner west, Sydney.
  7. Just share the drive away price I got in Sydney late June KX-S AWD + nudge bar + tow bar + reverse sensor + mat + 3-y extended warranty: $57,044
  8. Thank all for your suggestions and comments.
  9. Hi all, I am newbie to the forum and a new owner of Kluger KX-S AWD (just less than one week). I am told that it is better to fill 98-octane petrol for the new car. Searching the forum, I found 95-octane is also suggested. I will drive the car in the city for the most time. I would like to know what is best way to fill petrol? 91, 95, 98 or mix them somehow? Your advice is appreciated.
