  1. Ok, I am not very good with Toyota's as this is my first and I'm not an advanced car enthusiast (just a try hard one ha ha) So I apologize if I can't give enough info... So I bought my beloved 88 auto 2D st coupe a few months back and after about a month it started getting a little ****ty. sluggish as hell and don't get me started on it's lack of oomph up a hill. Then one day, after a long drive, the taco started jumping around like it was on speed or something and it started coughing and jerking like mad, It then stalled as soon as I slowed for the red light. It started back up again immediately and off I went. Then at the next red light, it happened again. Now this is a regular occurrence. What happens is, after a long drive or sometimes even a short one, It coughs, then jerks while the taco jumps around erratically then as soon and the revs go below 1500, it just cuts out, engine light comes on and I roll to a stop. I can start it back up right away in most cases but recently, It's hesitating. Now it's started cutting out on me whilst driving. especially around corners and anywhere I need to brake. It mainly happens after a long drive and It warms up. I have to drive it with two feet (auto) just to get it home without stalling. It is getting worse and to the point now were I don't feel safe driving the damn thing. My mechanic replaced the MAF and still, same ****. Someone suggested the dizzy saying it's my ignition. does anyone have any thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! :D
