  1. the car has 300 000kms on the gearbox its just had a transmission change no burnt fluid.
  2. ok this started a few days ago to my 1988 v6 camry. i was traveling home and it just happnd instantly. it feels like somethings slipping as it revs high but the car does not move. so i put it in park started it into drive it works but apon changing to 2nd gear around 40 45 kms per hous the shudder or like slipping happen like in the video some tiimes much worse than others. i have no idea what it could be maby the torque converter any ideas would be appreciated thanks <<< link to video
  3. hey umm i got this antenna power for my camry cause mine broke and i read up on it i connected the blue wire from my head deck which goes to my amp first so i connected it from amp to the areial then stupidly i connected to wires by accident and then turned on ignition the cd player started for a second then went black. now im stuck my car now has a non working cd player or interior lights or door lights or the lights that light your speedo air con works so does hazards my tail lights r out but i think its a different problem. my clock also isnt working but i just bought the cd player and amp so ima be so angry if there ******. i have checked fuses they all seem fine anything else it could possibly be thanks ....

Hey guys my 1988 v6 Camry when you start it it revs at 2000rpm, in park when u put it into drive it went to rpm so it drops. i had a go and played with the idle screw so it now idles at 800 normal then when you put into drive it make this almighty clunk the car jolts forward and he rev meter bounces between 400 and 800 rpm then evens out to 800 . i have no idea what is causing this i just did a throttle body clean transmitting oil change and radiator flush it runs well. but i have the problem also when you brake and are coming to a stop its like the car takes a second to relies its change gears. but when u actually stop it jolts forward and wants 2 pull away for a second and then it lets u break this is kind of hard to explain so bare with me . yea guys any ideas im a first year mechanic asked a few people they said the timing may be out i duno what it is but it doesn't feel good. anyone with any input would be awesome thanks guys tom ... or if anyone has a 88 v6 Camry and has had any different problems with it would be good to discuss .
  5. BASICALLY I HAVE A V6 1988 CAMRY IMPORT RUSTY BOOT LID I WANT 2 BUY ANOTHER BUT THERE SEEMS TO BE HUNDREDS OF 4 CYLINDER 1990 1991 MODEL CAMRYS THAT LOOK THE SAME WILL THEY FIT ANYONE KNOW SOZ CAPITALS IS DONE NOW
  6. hey guys i am a first year mechanic working for Lexus. i have just been given a Toyota Camry 1988 v6 import. with some alot of rust. i really like this car and would like to repair the holes myself cheap. but i need some ideas on how to go about fixing it the holes are in very awkward places in the boot area and are letting alot of water into my boot. if you guys have any suggestions on how i could fix this easily with out costing to much and i dont care if it doesn't look pretty. it just needs to not leak water into my boot which will cause further rust... any info comments anything would be greatly appreciated thanks TOM
