Robby, your fine to hammer it man, you saw how i drove that Celica when i had it. cars have rev limiters in them to prevent over reving and hence detremental damage to the engine, bro you can fang that thing and it will be fine, as one of the others said its meent to be hammered. Man the car is there to be enjoyed, if your not gonna hit tech, then you might as well have a normal corolla ;) its a revvy engine, drive it like a race car (only in same conditions) :)

If its cold, i.e. your taking the car out for the first time of the day, i rekon let it warm for bout 2-3 mins, like you dont sit there with a stop watch, letting it warm for like 5mins plus, is just unnecessary. but i wouldnt go hitting 5-9grand on a cold engine, its just asking for promlems later on. dry steering is bad news. But with these sportivo's i think everyone would agree that they are made to be revved, hence the compression ratio, and two they are toyota :)

Recently my old man brought home a LANDCRUSIER TD 100 series, i looked at it and said...junk bus. but then i drove it, and OMG, im in love, they are amazing to drive and have soooo much torque. alot of fun, and its offroad capabilities, are fantastic. love live the crusier.

Yeh with those sportivo's and the recalls i actually spoke to toyota customer service the other day and they told me that corolla sportivo's with the build dates between 04/03/2002 - 21/04/2004 were the cars that needed to be recalled. The "gentleman" i spoke to on the phone told me that there was not a reduction in power however a "increase", not sure i believe that. I was told that pre recall they had 125kw, this was due to wrong ECU and air cap... The member who just sold his blue sporty for cheap, i saw that man and told my mate to go for it, but man that was a steal, u let that go wayyyyy to cheap... Cheers Nick
