  1. Hi, Any update on this? I'm after the 51403-TZE20 in particular. So do they send to Aus? Cheers.
  2. Please see the updated post at the start :-)
  3. Hi, Thanks to the advice from Danz and Blue_Stivo (sorry guys i don't know your names but i will come to one of the meets soon and say hi) i contacted JDM Yard and got the following quote: "cost for a set with pillow mounts is $2650 gst incl pick up in sydney" I shall update this post with the other quotes i may get from the MazSport in NZ and JDM imports (different place to JDM yard). And what is your recommended place to get them installed and any idea on costs? Cheers everyone and peace out!!! Update: HI ALI CUSCO HAVE JUST COME BACK TO ME ABOUT THE SUSPENSION FOR YOUR CAR THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLEOF MAKING THEM AS YOUR CAR IS LATE MODEL THEY WILL B READY FOR SALE IN 1 WEEK THE PRICE IS $2800.00 +FRIEGHT +GST CHEERS BRIAN MAZSPORT CUSCO So there may be a new version???
  4. Hi, A bit of confusion here. I notice a lot of people have the Cusco Zero 2 on their cars and swear by them. So i enquired about these from Cusco's Aus/NZ authorised distributor and this is the reply i got: HI ALI SORRY NO CAN DO CUSCO DO NOT MAKE THEM FOR YOUR CAR CHEERS MAZSPORT CUSCO After asking: I have a 2005 Corolla Ascent (ZZE122 & 1ZZ-FE) and am looking for coilovers. I have heard that Cusco Zero 2s are suitable. Is this correct and are there any other options? Could you also give me an idea of the costs involved in getting these to Sydney. Please confirm if the Cusco Zero 2s can fit my vehicle. Does this make sense or is the Zero 2 for the 2004 model. But then i though they had the same chassis??? Cheers for any comments... Ali.
  5. Just wondering what everyone thoughts are on the following 3 meters. Which is the better one to get RPM, accurate speed, shifting gears etc... 1. Apexi RSM-GP (Rev / Speed Meter) $349 2. G-TECH Pro RR Performance Meter $659 3. Greddy Intelligent Informeter $449 I found these on modyourcar.com.au under electronics section. Cheer.
  6. Hi Everyone, Just had a cat-back exhaust fitted with a 2" pipe, new resonator and lukey muffler and dump pipe tip. Now when i drive it and come to a stop there is like a burning smell coming from under the car. Is this normal at the start since when i look under the car everything looks fine. Nothing is also making contact with the underbody of the car either.Perhaps the muffler is close to the heat shield and maybe the same could be said about the resonator but not that much worse than the stock system. Has anyone else who got a new cat-back experienced this and whether it is only at the start? Thank you for your comments,
  7. Ahhh another "Army of Darkness" fan ;-) what a cult classic. Yep "...it's a double barrel remington and retails for 129.99 in sports department...it's got cobalt blue steel..." that's all i can remember right now!!! How cool would it be to have achainswa on one hand LOL make gardening a lot easier hehehehehe Cheers for your replies. I will look into getting a K&N when the time comes to take the TRD one off for a clean so i can get measurements. See i forgot to get the installation instructions from the mechanic when it was installed. And so far it's running OK. Some advice for those driving in dusty areas: i do every now and then so i'm getting a K&N "PreCharger" which is a polyester bag that goes over the pod and captures some more of the dust particles and means that the pod doesn't get as badly clogged as quickly. Bye.
  8. Sorry to see that Dennis. I hate when that stuff happens. I don't mid giving myself an uppercut if i'm responsible but when i park somewhere and an idiot driver puts a large scratch on my car from the front tire fender to the end of the left passenger side door it made my blood boil !!!! But in my case it luckily didn't get through to the metal so no rust etc yet and i've gotten over it. So now it's being choosy about parking next to columns etc to reduce that risk ;-) Hope you fix it and nothing like it happens again. Ali.
  9. Hi everyone, Do those people that havea CAI change their oil more often in case more particles are getting through etc? I have seen Danthuyer's cleaning guide: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=4904 Do people out there think the K&N filter cleaning products are the better ones to use? or the TRD ones? Also i have noticed people saying they use the K&N RX-3900-1 filter: http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/pro...?Prod=rx-3900-1 I quite like the larger look of the TRD one not to mention it's shape which means that it gets less wet (car wash) due to it's upside gown tree shape ;-). Is is really worth the change/upgrade from your experiences? If so has anyone got a K&N shaped like the standard TRD one (see link below)? http://www.trdsales.com/shop/addprod.asp?p...517&itemid=1519 Thank you for any comments, Ali.
  10. Just an update: I saw Danthuyer's guide to installing the TRD CAI at: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...p?showtopic=711 And it states that we should cut the 2nd support point (the following is sourced from Danthuyer's guide) and see the attached image (Thanks Danthuyer): ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This shows the bracket which needs to be cut before installing (as the bracket is made for the XR-S not our sportivo) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So perhaps it's OK to to do this for the IZZ-FE (& 2ZZ-GE as well) and it should be fine. It's bad to be a perfectionist hehe. Cheers...
  11. Hi everyone, I'm a newbe and i thought i'd put a comment on about the TRD CAI on the IZZ-FE engine & ZZE122 chassis. My issue is that the TRD CAI seems to have been designed for the Sportivo (ZZE123) and fitting it in the standard 2005 Corolla is not a perfect fit - and for people like me who need to have things perfect - it's a bit concerning. see: http://www.trdsales.com/shop/addprod.asp?p...517&itemid=1519 and i should have realised that it stated ZZE123 and not ZZE122. When i say it isn't a perfect fit i mean that the secondary mounting plate that is on the CAI does not have anywhere to be bolted onto. The first does and is secure but the second is just sticking up and the guys that installed it for me (Toyota) said it isn't necessary. I'm not sure about this as i feel that it should be secured using both points. I noticed that CORZZA has a standard Corolal and the TRD CAI so if you read this what do you and others think about this? My concern is that with the second support floating that it is not as firmly fixed to the car chassis as would be ideal and hence could vibrate a bit with motion and bumps etc Thanks for any comments you can give.
