  1. The only real headers worth having on a 2ZZ are the PPE 4-1 headers. Much more gain in the top end.

I had 4-1 headers from hurricane exhaust and gained a big ammount in the top end with a full system.

And oggi, I ported and polished my headers and got aftermarkets as well my freind owns liverpool exhaust so he let me try a pair he had lying around and i stuck it on a power run on the dyno and i got a extra 8kw at the wheels.

  2. where abouts r u in victoria? i know someone who might be willing to part with their system for your stock one. complete swap over for your stock one. basically brand new and nice (legal) sound to it.

umm nah im not dumb enough to swap my stock system ... coz i wont be able 2 sell my car in the future

and i think i might know who your talking about.

if his willing to sell cash with no swaps

    im interested

You do sound dumb instead of paying all that money swop for the exhaaust and go to a wrecker in the future a buy a stock exhaust system for 200bux? and now you got a full exhaust system with a stock one for just 200 dollars instead of 2grand and then sell the system, if its a full system with headers you will get 700-800 bux for it so then you end up on top ;)

  3. The 1st to 2nd issue in my car was the clutch i changed the clutch and the flywheel it made changing a dream i highly recommend do that 1st with changes of the gear box oils. and your car would most likely be shifting like a dream unless your not the best of drivers and pretty much wrecked the box.

  4. This is really interesting. I am not a 4x4'er but I feel your frustration. Never having owned one I speak with minimal experience in such tings but I was wondering if the freewheeling hubs can be switched off while reversing. I remember having to get out in the middle of a creek for my boss to turn the disk in the hubs to activate the front wheel drive.

Would disengaging them help if it were possible?

Yeah that was locking the diff or something my mate has the same thing but im pretty sure all the new models, Do that automatically.

  5. Look pushing your budget is a risky thing. If you dont inspect the car right

I bought my sportivo well out of my budget, But i checked everything out, Its a toyota you find one that isnt buckled and you treat it right it will last a very long time.

Besides i'd go for something under 150k reason being they are a 8-6 year old car so 100k-150k is reasonable you get one with low k's its jst a owner that didnt drive it much which is better and i suggest do a rta certificate its 30 bux but what da heck, you know the cars history.

  6. I bought my sportivo from a old lady claiming same thing, mine did a few smoke only in lift but i was guessing because lift wasnt used much, but after the drive home from buying the car i bought it in newcastle and live in sydney so all highway drive i did give it a bit of grunt thru gears and it smoked for a little by the end of the drive it was gone.
