Hi all, Mu husband and I are just about to buy our 1st 4wd. We do want to do offroading and the car will also be our family car. We have a choice of a 2004 grande or a 2006 limited for around the same price. We were going to go for the 2004 grande because of some of the extra safety features, but we have just seen a few alarming comments that the grandes and vx's aren't very good off road compared to the GX's and GXL's??? Is this correct? Thanks...any help would be appreciated.

Have just purchased our 1st 4wd. My husband an I have a young family of 3 boys, love camping and the outdoors and have finally managed to get our 1st 4wd. We brought a 2004 prado grande and are very excited...... we will just need to learn how to use it! We have all these camping areas we have dreamed of going to...we just needed a 4wd to get there!
