  1. there's no need to run parallel ECU's. Run the powerfc with the appropriate wires repinned to the celica position on a fields harness.

You will run into issues sharing sensors that use internal pullup resistors in the ECU etc.

Unfortunately the EU corolla has some features that the AUS Corolla does not have, like Traction control and stability control. Also I can get the car to fire up on the PFC but the aircon does not work :( Hence the reason for my asking

  2. Hi All,

I am in the process of bolting in a supercharger to my UK Toyota corolla, the mechanical work is just about done. You can see my thread here

    here's a quick pic

I have hit a bit of a stumbling block with wiring in my apexi power FC. Because the Apexi is designed for a Celica I would have to do a parallel install but I am a bit unsure as to what I can share and what I can't so I'm hoping someone can assist? I've listed the pins below and "share", "apexi" and "stock"

    Injectors - Apexi

    Igniter Fire Signals - Apexi

    Air Pump - Stock

    Idle Control Valve - Stock

    Grounds - Share

    VVTI Valve - Apexi

    Knock Sensor - Apexi

    MAF signal wire - Share

    +5V to MAF - Apexi

O2 heater circuit ground - Apexi

    Stability Control Wires - Stock

Throttle Position Sensor signal - Share

+5V to Throttle Position Sensor - Apexi

    Air Temp Signal - Share

    Crank Sensor - Share

    Cam Sensor - Share

Crank and Cam Sensor Ground - Share

    Stop Light Switch Share

    Airbag - Stock

    12v Starter Signal - Share

    Electric Power steering - Stock

Control Ground for the Main Relay - not really sure on this one?? Stock or Share?

    Speed Signal - Share

    Tach - Stock

Batt (Power from EFI Relay) - Share

Fuel Cut Circuit Relay - Stock

Any help gratefully received! Otherwise I'll go down the trial and error route.

    Thanks

  3. as far as i can see there is no reason why the car would not function with the stock ECU. Do bare in mind that it will be down on power... untill you supercharge it of course.

Before i turbo'd my celica, I put a thicker head gasket put in (which also will lower compression) and this did not effect the car (besides a small drop in power)

Thanks for that, I'll go ahead and order my mahles now. bit of a drop though from 11,5 to 9,0!

  4. Hi chaps,

I am in the process of force inducting my car and would like to fit low compression pistons in my Euro T sport (sportivo). My quick and rather noobish question is if I do this and then reassemble it will it start and run on the stock ECU? I did the maths and think it would start but I would be slightly low on power but I wondered if anyone had any experience of this?

The car is used frequently but I want to get the pistons changed in 5 days if possible before I start with the supercharger. I figure having a strong bottom end would allow plenty of boost.

    Cheers

    NRG
