  1. Thanks for your response! I think you are right. I was paying special attention after I start this post. This slow response happens while the ECU is thinking what gear to change to. It happens when I am very gentle on the gas, then if I want to go a little bit further, nothing happens because it is thinking whether it should go down a gear or up a gear. So i was stuck in the gap during gear change. Is this normal? Can this be fixed? Is this a ECU problem or gear box problem? Anyone out there, please advise. thanks .
  2. The acceleration issue could be associated with the throttle body, not entirely sure. Regarding the fuel consumption, I would like to ask how do you drive? Heavy footed, carry anything on board ect...? Hi there, I am a sensible driver, not a heavy foot and normally the car only carry 2 people including the driver and that's it, nothing else.
  3. Hello guys I have some issues with my 2010 Camry sportive, hope someone out there can help me. The thing is sometimes or occasionally when I am driving at low constant speed (such as 40 I'm/h), then all of a sudden when I step the gas, nothing happens, I either have to release the gas or step the gas even harder to get a response. How strange is this? This doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes, but I believe something must be not quite right because this is not normal. Can anyone help me with this issue? I am thinking will this be a spark plug or spark plug lead or computer issue? Something to do with the combustion of the engine. Or is there a throttle sensor? Is 2010 Camry drive by wire? Another issue is I don't know if it is because of this problem, my fuel consumption is around 12L/100km. I mainly drive at north shore area in Sydney. Can anyone verify this with me and tell me if this is normal? I use 91 unleaded. Anyone out there please help me, thanks a lot in advance.
  4. Good news!!! I reset the ECU, and now the economy has improved! City drive back to around 10.5L/100km. This is what I got at the end of the day, hopefully more driving will improve it more. Because I took the battery terminal off, now I into myself some trouble. The radio is asking me for the 3 digit security code which i don't know. I got the 2010 camry which has the head unit with 4.3 inch screen, so the reverse camera and the sound system is not working. The head unit allow 10 incorrect pin code attempt, I've tried 4 already. So this is a worry for me now...
  5. Thats good private number!!! I can never achieve that!! But mind you, When I first got the car, I use 95 shell, I manage to got about 10.6L/100km which is equivalent to around 550km per tank. Then I deicde to change to E10 just to see what difference it will make, then I only manage to squeeze 450Km per tank out of it. So I swapped back to shell 95, now i am stuck with about 480km/tank, I can't do 550km anymore... I wonder if the ECU getting confuse everytime we change fuel...., I've always drive very softly to safe fuel, so i just can not accept the fuel economy I am getting at the moment... very frustrating especially with the petrol price so high.
  6. I have a 2010 Camry sportivo, and I do 100% city drive, my fuel comsumption was around 12L/100km. I always keep my rev under 3000 rpm and I am using Shell 95. I consider this a lot! Now knowing you are getting like 14L/100km, this is worse man! I think Toyota need to fix up their new generation Camry! I am gonna reset my ECU and hope this will fix the problem.
  7. Yo man, I got a 2010 Camry, will be very keen to but a set of HID on, waiting for your step by step photo tutorial man :o)
  8. Yeah.. ! the T-C200 unit is way better that other units. You are correct. I got this last week and love the GUI. pretty good.. and excellent customer service. How does it unit sound man!?? Got good AMP? Do you know the output power?
  9. Ok Guys, Got my Wheel alignment done, went to beaurepaires at crows nest, the guy name Sam did a great job! He seems to be know what he is doing. My Camry is now dead straight and the steering wheel is dead on! Awesome! Cost $75, I think thats the normal price, I think it is worth it. So if anyone is thinking about having a wheel alignment and don't know where to go, definitly give Sam a try. It will cost another $40 for wheel rotation and balance for all 4 wheels, not too sure what other places charge for this, I think Bob Jane T Mart charge $25 for 4 wheel balancing, but don't know about the wheel rotation. But anyway, I am happy this time!
  10. Hi Guys, Need a good place for wheel alignment, can anyone recommend any place in North Sydney region? Beaurepairs, Bob Jane T Mart? Are these any good? Because Beaurepairs and Bob Jane sells tyres, so will they mess up the wheel alignment so people go back and buy tyres from them more often? Or should I go to NRMA or even toyota service centre? Thanks a lot Guys.
  11. Hello every, Really need you guys help with this. I got a 2010 camry sportivo, at night when I swtich the light on, I've noticed the side door mirror adjustments switch (the letter "L", "R" and the word "mirror" and the 4 arrows) doesn't light up. Also, the door lock/unlock and window lock switch on the driver's door doesn't light up neither, only the word "auto" for the driver's window switch is lighting up in green. So is this normal? I would've assume they shoul all light up so you can see them at night if you need to use them. Please help! Thanks a lot in advance guys.
