  1. Thanks for replying mate.

Yeah im wanting them to come on only when I turn the lights on... wanting replace the 2 little led's behind the A/C with the strip.

seems like ill have to purchase a voltmeter as got no idea where to wire the +tive and -tive wires.

didnt think it was going to be this hard... thought I could just splice into the existing led lights.

  2. Hi guys, needing some help.

I'm wanting to wire in some little 12v Led strips behind the A/C Knobs.

Struggling to find the correct power source i.e. where do I solder/connect the postive and negative wires from the LED strip to ensure that they only come on with the dash lights?

I assumed I could piggy back off an existing light (ashtray light) but to no avail.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers - Dave.

  4. Anyone have an idea as to whether this airbag module (45130-0W070) would be plug n play with a 2003 corolla ascent without any issues? I have the steering wheel but the airbag module I have currently keeps erroring the airbag light.

I'm at my wits end with this thing conversion.....???

this is a module im wanting to buy..

  5. Normally while changing the steering wheel according to different models fuses need to be changed as well, especially if the steering wheel is carrying extra added functions along with it.

    Hope that helped.

Toyota couldn't even do it.. said the wiring is different..

I'm a bit pi$$ed off, the wheel must be from a later model corolla where they've used different electronics.

So trying to find an air-bag module from an earlier sportivo maybe that would work plug'n'play with my 2003 ascent.

otherwise I'm just selling the thing as its not worth the hassle.

Has anyone changed their ascent wheel successfully??? with the airbag still working?

    thanks for responding mate.

    Cheers.

  6. Hi Guys,

I've got a late ZZE model Corolla Sportivo Steering wheel with airbag.

In really really good condition as you can see in the pic's.

    - only reason I'm selling it, is it wont fit/wiring different for my pre-facelift car, my car is 2003 so the air bag light wont go off.

    - assume it must be for face lift corollas.

    ***make me an offer***.

preference is pick up - South East Melbourne

  7. The way to get around is to get the wire from the car where you got it from, in my case a facelift, and use the harness from there.

and i havent gotten around the issue, i actually just left it as is.

    Hey Mate,

The wheel turns out is from an 05, my ascent is an 03... which wires do you think i need?

You think taking it to a Toyota Dealer, they would be able to sort it out?

    Cheers.

  8. theres something about toyota when it comes to differences with items of preface/facelift

eg, i got a facelift steering wheel off a sportivo too, and i have a preface, wiring harness is different much confusion was involved

How did you get around this issue?

Did you sort it out yourself or get a mechanic?

Thanks for your replies mate - really appreciate it.

    Cheers
