Hey guys,

Ive got 215/45 r17's n i just went on a 4 hour drive through the country and i have lowered my car

with kings springs low, so 35mm drop. I found that at about 110+kph there was quite a bite of vibrations,

but i figure its not very often that i travel that fast so i dont really mind, but i agree there is some vibrations at those speeds with those mods. But its all good.. the car still looks good and handles much better.

I'd just like to really thank everyone for the great comments...

I waited a long time for wheels and they are well worth the wait,

definitley recommend these wheels and definitley the tyres im running aswell.

Nice man I really like it... How do u find the King Springs with stock shocks (handling and comfort wise)???

Hey...

handling's much better but then anything's better than how it was stock.

comfort... its firmer and nicer on the road its not so soft, abit harder ride = nicer ride.

over all its a good combo for a car that is a daily driver.

low enough and handles great.

Hey man,

I got a similar story, the day i was supposed to get my mags i got phone call saying that the

wheels had been sent to sydney...NOT PERTH! had to wait nearly 2 weeks but they

eventually arrived. Your wheels look sick much prefer those to the other option you could've chosen.

quick question.. how are you finding the tyres your running? i recently purchased a set of rims to and they are coming with the same tyres you have (nexen N3000's).. what you reckon? they been good?

1300 is great price with tyres, was that new? Must be old stock that the perth guy had as sppedy have no lite 7 left in the country under there control, they are sold out, unless the tyre outlet has a set in stock.

They only have one magnesium color left in 17 x 7 , heaps of 18x 7 left though.

I wanted magnesium but the gold work with the silver stivo cause of the machined polished lip.

yeah they are new.. i got to wait 2 weeks for them to be delievered. but oh well

I dunno where to find the load rating... all i see is in my glove box, it says 195/60R 15V 88

so i dunno.. ill just take it to be what you guys said like 83/84 so no biggie..

where do you guys go for tyres?? i wanna get these rims but the tyres hes put in the package are dodgy..

something like 205-40-17 80w with Kumho Tyres. so i dunno

so any suggestions about places/ specific tyres would be much appreciated.

bear in mind im not a circuit racer or millionaire. just a 20yr old with a corolla ascent.

215/40 is the overall better choice when it comes to tyre profiles, but also more $$$. Wouldn't kick your speedo off by much, but they are in general a better fit. That's only if you have the luxury of having a specific preference in tyre selection. Check the brand also. Totally agree with what Brandon said too. Illegal. Also if you have a load rating that is lower than that of the factory recommendation you also void your insurance if you're in an accident (cause it's illegal ra ra ra). ;)

I've phoned around a few places n ive been quoted about $280 per tyre for Dunlop 215/45 17''

tyres with the correct load rating.. for the rollas the load rating is 88.. is that expensive or reasonable?

i have no idea about this stuff when it comes to tyres..

225/45 will be pretty chunky on a 17

:D That's the idea.

Wahaha...go the chunky look lol. I have that atm, there's a bit of sidewall flex though dammit :(

when i was in melb a few weeks back Spotted a light teal blue/green rolla i dunno what the colour is called looked like 18'' 5 spoke HR white rims, on my way to springvale (cyber century) on [P] plates..

but i'm back in perth.. i spotted "saintz_01" as he lives about 200mtrs from my house:)

As far as I know, no-one else has but sedan/hatch it's the same thing.
