  1. My brother has the same problem with his Kluger bluetooth h/free.
  2. I don't think you got a dud. Please let me explain, and I mean no offence to you..... When I drive the Kluger locally (to the shops, work, school etc.) I can get the fuel usage to sit in the 12 l/100km range. When the wife drives to the same places, I get the Kluger back showing in the 14 l/100km range. It doesn't matter which of our cars she drives, her fuel economy is crap, whether it is a TDI VW, petrol powered car. So I think it is your driving technique. At this point I must point out that I think my wife is the best driver in the world. Approx. 20 years ago my wife was driving our old Toyota shovel nose Corona, and I was a passenger kindly giving her some advise on what she was doing wrong. She slammed on the brakes in the middle of the road, leaned over and opened my door, then kicked me out of the car. I had to walk home. Ever since that day, I have come to the conclusion that she can do no wrong with her driving skills, and she is a better driver than me..........But she cannot drive a car economicly.
  3. Get divorced, and then marry a yank. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  4. I recently did trip Melb to Sydney towing a rental tandem car trailer with an old Kombi on the trailer. The first 1/3 of the trip I was getting 22l/100km. Then a tyre blew out on the trailer. After changing the tyre, I pulled into the next servo to check all the trailers tyre pressures. I had 45 psi on the left side of the trailer, and 15 psi on the right side. So I pumped the right side upto 45 psi. I then got 16l/100 for the rest of the trip to Sydney, and the same on the return run with another Kombi on the back until Wangaratta. From there I had an empty trailer, and I was getting 12.5l/100km. It pays to check tyre pressures. I didn't realize it would make that much of a difference.
  5. For those that purchased a brand new Kluger, what was the odometer reading on your new car when you took delivery of it? Mine had 28km on it. I was told that is how many klm the car does around the docks etc. I was also told that upto 100km is normal.
  6. I too have a VW....T5 Crewvan, 1.9 TDI. Yes, its great on fuel economy. I average 6.5l/100km. But the service costs at VW are a killer. Whether my dealer was shafting me or not, but I have never had a service bill less than $500. Multiply that by another 2 VW's and an Audi in my stable......I wanted something cheaper to get serviced, with a bit of power to be able to tow a large trailer.
  7. Took delivery today....A bit disappointed. Maybe I am too used to European cars, but I was expecting a full tank of fuel with a new car, not a quarter of a tank. The rear blind/luggage area cover is torn. Didn't see it at the dealership because it was stowed away. Just noticed it when I got home, and was about to fit it. Dealer also did not have the spare key or service books. I'll be going back to the dealer tomorrow, with a stone in my shoe.
  8. Hmmmm. You forgot to mention the low service costs of the Touareg compared to a Kluger.
  9. Hi Guys, New here.....Just bought a Kluger today. 2010 (old shape) KX-R AWD 7 seater Front nudge bar Tow bar Floor mats Rear parking sensors Tinted windows (dark front, clear rear) $44k drive away.
