  1. ummm it was free, my cousin works at a dealer i could get u a price if u wanted I was able to get a new one from my local dealer for $15 (which was cheaper than I expected), but thanks anyway. They told me that it is quite possible to order owner's manuals for the older model Camry (36 model), despite someone previously posting that their dealer couldn't supply it. However after reading through the manual, it is very similar to the US manual that I found at www.manualsforcars.com. So if anyone doesn't want to pay, the US manual is good enough, although it's a flash file, and not even a PDF. You can download the flash file to your desktop to make things easier, but unfortunately there is no way to extract a 'PDF' file from the flash, the whole document is built using flash. Ross..
  2. Perhaps you can enable the 'two stage' unlock feature, then at least if your wife forgets to lock the driver's door, the others are still locked anyway..
  3. I was able to find the manual for the US version, but it's packaged inside a Flash file. They seem to have manuals for every year from 1990-2010, although the models shouldn't have changed every year (and thus not required an updated manual for every year). They seem to have one for the 2001 model year too (manualsforcars.com). Will try to call a dealer anyway to see if Toyota spares has one..
  4. Sounds like you're talking about the workshop/service manuals. I'm just looking for the user manual, that normally comes with the car (unfortuantely the previous owner of our vehicle must've lost them)..
  5. Tell me about it, even the US version doesn't seem to be around. Although there a lots of honeypot sites with "workshop manual" when one searches for "gen 4 manual" or other variations. I assume that any Toyota dealer can sell spare parts, or do I need to call a specific place? Thanks..
  6. We bought it second hand from a licensed dealer, so perhaps it is, but I'm not too sure..
  7. Hi all, We just bought a late 2005 Camry, and although the car came with lots of manuals for accessories (GPS, ToyotaLink, Service log) the main manual for the vehicle is missing! I was wondering if anyone knows whether this manual can be bought or otherwise obtained.. I took a look around on the web and these forums, and I found that there used to be a camrystuff.com website, but that site is gone, and I didn't see anything else.. Thanks for any help, Ross..
  8. Hi everyone, We just bought our first Toyota, after years spent with another brand of vehicle that ended up costing much more in repairs than the car was ever worth.. :( Our new ride is a late 2005 MCV36R Camry Azura :). Ross..
  9. Hi, New person here, after years with another brand of (unreliable) vehicle. We just acquired a Toyota Camry Azura MCV36R with "ToyotaLink". It beeps loudly 5 times on ignition, as well as 2 beeps on shutdown, so I called ToyotaLink (via phone) and they told me that they can't do anything and that the SIM card inside the unit had been 'cancelled'! They told me that I need to go to a service centre, and that the ToyotaLink unit may need to be repaired or entirely replaced! I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this, and what it might've cost..? I'm a little annoyed that a standard component of the vehicle can essentially be 'permanently killed' when the telematics company decides to remotely cancel the SIM card that is inside one's unit. It doesn't seem to say anywhere in the included documentation and agreements that this can occur, and the fact that I now have to possibly pay a large sum of money to disable or repair/preplace a system that has nothing wrong with it, except that they killed it themselves, is starting to smell bad. Anyway just wondering if anyone ever encountered this.. Ross..
