just to answer some quick questions
You need a CAMS licence, which you get on the day
You dont need a full body suit, just long pants long sleeve shirt etc.
Helmet, no you cannot hire, you have to provide your own
we want to reach phillip island by 7am, so we can register early
specators welcome, providing you come in the morning
by late morning they wont let you in
-
The track day @ phillip island is held on 21st to 22nd August
More information about the premeets (will be a big turn out) will be posted later
If you want to race on the day... I can get more info
i just dont have them on me atm
-

love the dual brembo's!
-
how far can you lower it before it gets to bumpstop?
and Danz, do you have aftermarket shocks?
-
New wheels definitely look the goods!
Peekay's old sportivo wheels are now on my echo... im verrryyy happy, they make a huge diference over the 14" stockies, and also grip a lot better than he 15s i previously have had.
gawd you smell

Had no idea bro. But this is what i get. Genie 4-2-1 header, new resonator and new muffler plus the chrome tips, all for 650 bucks inc fittings. The std header is 4-1 set up, never knew that.
good stuff Danz! :) :)
did you get new piping as well? ie 2.25" cat back piping etc.?
-
hehe i choose side air bags
because.... i wouldn't have been hurt so much if I had them in my last car... if you know what i mean
:(
-
I too have a full exhaust system in plan. According to XtigerX who used to have Levin, he installed Hurricane headers and Lukey cat back, power was about 85kw at the wheel.
So Cougs, wanna look together?
thanks for the replies guys... so no one knows if it's stock 2.25"? I seriously doubt it anywayz
thanks for the offer TRD_141, might take you up on that
and Danz... yer let's go to box hill exhaust? I'm a bit busy atm... but see how we go :P
btw Danz is your plates SAU xxx? (sorry am I allowed to post that?)
If that was you, I drove behind you down Burke Road yesterday (friday night), but I turned off into the Monash Freeway
-
what do you do about the side airbag?
-
I havent had time to go to the exhaust shop to get this checked out, but some riceboy told me he got an aftermarket muffler fitted only, because the 1ZZ-FE corolla had 2.25" piping (he wasn't specific)
Is that true? I thought cars like Type R's come with 2", and standard corollas would come with 1.5"-1.75" piping
Can anyone provide me with some insight? thanks :)

tyre pressure
in Wheels & Tyres
Posted
hihi
I did a defensive/advance driving course yesterday, and they recommend road tyres to be 40psi for all sizes, to reduce tire flexing (from a purely safety point of view)
I will dig out the notes later about why it should be 40PSI
Another thing is, when you pump your tyres, use your own PSI-meter, because the one at the servo is inaccurate (you will notice it if you get 3 separate readngs using the same meter, it will most probably show different values each time
