The new camry is hot i reckon, has awesome looks nice stylish interior but the motor could have been abit more powerful, but in this day and age fuel cost so much who wants to go that tad bit faster. If I had a family I wpould definately buy one over the honda or other similar cars .Its a toyota man my mums camry was bought new in 88 and no **** never broke down

i get a rattling noise sometimes but its inside the car from down near the passengers feet somewhere, dont know what it is but it starts when the revs get higher, very annoying on a nearly new car
I got the same thing, I pulled half my dash apart trying to find, but sonds like its coming from the airvents or something around the passenger side. Its really anoying when in lift.
But yeah I dont think its the gear cables if its from the passenger side then.
i tightened that kik panel with the plastic screw where the left foot would be and that seems to stop the noise, but it always come back.I think it gets loose as i drive but not really sure see how you go

I believe if someone has had a bad experience at a particular company he has the right to warn us and to not warn others would be letting them just rip someone else off .i know this has nothing to do with cars but never get insurance on your mobile i had mine stolen from my room and they refused to pay due to my room not being a secure area !my door wasnt locked .the company is the one vodafone uses and its name is marsh insurance.
I personally had a crappy experience at Terry Shields Toyota.I was looking to buy a new Yaris sedan for my mum, and they salesman (yes he was male and an arrogant pig), he tells me a price thats above the RRP, and said well do you want to buy it today? If not heres the price.
I made him go thru all the charges from the RRP + on road + dealer delivery, even after i made him go thru it twice and showed him the result, he still insisted i didnt add something in (even though it was him telling me the figures).
I asked him if he was actually interested selling a car in which he replied only if you wanna buy it today and i said not at that price. So he tells me that he's not worried cos these car will sell themselves.
As far as im concerned im never ever going back to Terry Shields toyota, so far the cheapest Toyota dealer (if you know how to bargain) has been Phil Gilbert @ Lidcombe.
Cheers :) would love a new rolla, but i cant part with this one just yet !
Speakin of wheels- that brings me to a bad customer service experience i had, i like to tell this story mainly for the chickies, Tempe Tyres fitted my 17s and i drove home with a horrible scrubbin noise, only to find out the next day- that they had fitted the wheel flush against the strut! They let me drive out of there with no worries to them at all, i'm not in anyway sayin dont go there, as i like their products, but i suggest watching them if you get them 2 do it, or buying them & getting soome1 else to fit them :) there we go my story :)
Well Tempe tyres are known for dodgy sh!t, once your car is on the floor and driving away, its no longer their problem. Ive been told they are one of the few places that use spacers (even though spacers are illegal).
Just remember you pay for what you get (well at Tempe tyres you do anyway LOL)
man i had something similar with that place on canterbury rd ,it was called australia best i think.anyway they put 18s on my fto and i drove off and when full locked it was hitiing the inside of my wheel arch i went back and they said you gotta get it modified .6 months later my left rear brakes started making loud noises and what i found out was they had used spacers and one of them wasnt sitiing on right or had moved and warped my disc ,so just check peeps if the wheels actually asre gonna give more dramas then they are worth

just try any jap wreckers they usually have all type of seats from rollas and you can bargain the price too, theres alot of good wreckers at chipping norton and moorebank

that looks really good and effective ,just a question i had a gpx fto and got a guy i knew to make me a custom cold air intake but when he put it on he didnt use that electrical stuff that goes onto the stock air intake ,does it make a difference and what is that thing for?
I think its a vacume line that operates the flap to the back to the standard airbox. You dont need to connect it, just unplug it and block the vacume line. Doubt it will make a difference, its just use less now so no need to connect.
thanx mate ,i noticed the guy with the trd intake has it connected aswell .wouldnt mind one of those it made my old fto sound and go alot better

i found a site wherehttp://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleDetail.aspx?ArticleID=19829&vf=1&GalleryType=1&ReferringArticleID=19803 it says its claimed 8.9 seconds to the 0-100 which is slower then a stivo, click on the details link once youve entered this link
exactly what is the difference between forced induction and na
One is either supercharged or turbo'd man and the other is just standard.
IE: Sportivo is n/a (naturally aspirated), An S15 Silvia is Turbo (forced induction) ;)
so is this new gti turbo coz i think someone said it was fi earlier?

instead of breaking the guys balls why not make it simple and submit when your reserve kiks in ,its the nerd in you all that wants to start calculating angles ,fuel type etc.mine comes on at 520 to 540
exactly nerd
-
Problem there is the "Click" is largely dependant on the angle of the nozzle and the bowser itself, sometimes I will be filling and it will click every 2 seconds, other times it goes all the way. The fuel light comes on when you have 50KM's left in your tank based on your current driving style.
I suppose it makes little difference when you refill really if you are taking note of the litres that go in and dividing by your K's so long as you filled it up originally.
What you need to do is fill the car to the first click push the ODO.
Then drive it until the light comes on. Fill it again to the first click and note how many litres (exactly) you put in and what the ODO reading is. This will give a fair range of driving for most.
Divide kilometres x the number of litres and the highest figure wins.
you are all drama queens why dont you just do what the first guy said and stop being ballbreakers angle of nozzle, fuel type, its the nerd in you wanting to calculate, just fill the car up and tell him when it hits reserve mine is always around 580 to 600 but i hardly thrash it
This is the only fair way the light is no acurate guage.
ie 590k/49litres = 12.04 kpl

when i first got my stivo there was a noise coming from the motor.I took it to the local toyota and they said it is the tensioner assembly and that it was a common problem. They fixed it and all good now except for rattling on the left side now but its inside. :(
